I was not pleased with the food. The seafood was not fresh, the consistency was mushy. I received not regrets from the staff when I told them about the poor food, and I even had to pay full price! Would not come back here or recommend to anyone.

Worst restaurant I’ve ever eaten at – literally mice running around my feet. Standing filth in the restroom. So disgusting. Should not be allowed to serve food in that condition.

This is the grossest restaurant I have ever been to! There was an inch of standing water in the bathroom. I ordered my food, was looking around, and saw a MOUSE running around below the tables. Then, my dad looked around and saw three more mice! How disgusting! This restaurant could give you a disease. BEWARE!

I was with a tour group in August and this was our first meal in Paris. Evidently, this restaurant is a famous restaurant for tour groups. They are open 24⁄7. Also, evidently, the thieves know this too! It appears to be a target. While we were there, two people got their bags stolen. One with a computer, wallet and credit cards. Before they could notify the credit card companies, which was about 45 minutes, the thieves had already charged about $ 400.00 on their stolen cards. Be Careful!!!

It’s impossible to have a bad meal in Paris — but some are more memorable than others. Les Relais d’Alsace, though not bad or mediocre, was missing something, but the food was still good. We came in here ahead of a HUGE group of Chinese tourists — place can’t be terrible if the Chinese are eating here — and we were fortunate enough to get a table before the deluge came. The seafood towers were incredible to look at, but having our fill of seafood at Bofingers we opted for something different — we got the usual escargot, oysters and foie gras — the foie gras was good, but not the best we had in France. In the mood for pasta I got the tagliatelle with langostinos — the sauce was good, not oily. We killed a few beers and afterwards sat outside for some Havanas and espressos. The service was a little slow, but considering the number of people that were in here, our food and beer orders weren’t grossly delayed.

This was hard to find on Unilocal to review, the sign outside reads«Taverne Karlsbräu». I think the full name of this place is «Les Relais d’Alsace — Taverne Karlsbräu.» We had the escargot and smoked duck leg with roasted potatoes. The escargot was average and the potatoes were pretty decent, but I couldn’t eat much of the duck. It wasn’t bad but it needed a sauce or vegetables, something to offset the dryness of just potatoes and meat. Dessert was some vanilla and chocolate ice cream. This place is more like two stars. There’s too much good food to be had, can’t say I’d come back. However, the waiter we had was awesome, so one more star. It may have had something to do with the fact that he was a French boy who grew up in California and went back to France.

After arriving in Paris on an early Sunday morning, I took a walk through the neighborhood looking for a place to grab some caffeine. Not much is open early on a Sunday here, but Les Relais d’Alsace was — so I parked myself at a small table on the patio and gave them a try. The service here is very slow, even by European standards. You have to be very assertive at this place to get someones attention — which is unusual, since there were virtually no customers around. I order a cappuccino, and what they brought me was an abomination. I’m not kidding. I don’t know what it was, but it was far from what most people would have expected. It was lukewarm and tasted like they diluted the espresso with water. I decided to try something else, so I just ordered a plain coffee — and although it tasted a little better, it was also just lukewarm. There are literally hundred of cafes in Paris that serve all sorts of coffee drinks. This is one that you can probably pass on if that is what you are looking for.

c’est l’ancienne Taverne Kanter. Changement de propriétaire, mais pas de style, et toujours ouvert et accueillant…
