I was so hesitant to go to the resturant. It was my last day in Paris and I wanted the perfect meal. This little gem has a three course meal for a decent price and on the inside it’s super quirky. From weird photos, to dusty toys, I was so hesitant as to where to spend my last moments in Paris. No one was inside and I kept asking myself what’s wrong with this place, but something kept drawing me to it and I’m glad it did! I sat down and the waiter made recommendations and was very friendly! I felt like I was in Amelie, just everything was quirky from the waiter to the menu and the tables. I still almost wanted to leave. Was the food going to be bad? The kitchen is so soooo tiny and it was hard to believe anything good would come out of it. Within twenty minutes the place was a full house! It was so most amazing Parisian experience because you never know what you are going to get and you should embrace it rather than read reviews. The French onion soup was not great, very watery and not much flavor. It was what seemed to be like a cheap beef broth with a croûton and melted cheese. Maybe this is the French way, but I didn’t see any onions and it’s probably just not a good bowl of soup. I got the duck confit for my second course. This was SUPERB! It was hot, the meat fell off the bone and the potatoes where phenomenal and covered in duck fat. The entire dish melted in my mouth and left me wanting more. It really was the perfect dish set in the most quirky French resturant in iconic weird Montmartre. For dessert, I substituted it for coffee. I met this cute old couple next to me who had been returning to Paris after 8 years who also said, the loveliness was so unexpected and that they were hesitant too. I also saw a ton of Chinese tourists taking photos of their food and loving the whole experience. It really is a hidden gem, pretty magical. Will return one day!

Stumbled upon this place while walking like a hungry dog in MontMarte. It looks great from outside. Was skeptical when I got in bc all I saw was Chinese tourists and no locals. But the food was great! Onion soup and duck(canard) were both great. The server is nice but needs some help when the place gets busy.

this little jewel is located in Montmartre and the front view drew us in. It is a tiny little place with so much charm and character. My wife loves this place, it is so French! The food the second time we dined here was not as good as our first experience, but we will go back again. It is a wonderful casual dining experience, it reminds of our experiences dining our friends homes in France, and you come in the front door near the kitchen and everything that is wonderful about French cuisine hits you in the face. If you are in this area, you must stop here!

I think there must be some confusion about this place. There are several restaurants listed with the same name, or practically the same name. In any event, we went to the one on this street and were really disappointed. The food was not good. The onion soup had almost no flavor at all. My wife’s beef Bourgin y’all was like something out of a can, and my duck was pretty good, but certainly nothing exceptional. The place was small, crowded, and the service — all by one waitress — was slow, and the waitress was just short of nasty. There are many good restaurants in Paris, but this is really not one of them. That said, though, I want to mention the confusion about the names again. There are several listed, all in the same neighborhood(Montmartre).

This teensy little restaurant has so much heart. It is located in Montmarte on a small side street. My heart still swoons at how happy I was to spend a relaxing lunch time here. Great carafe of Sancerre, terrific appetizer of tomatoes and mozzarella. The beef bourguignon was great only because I willed it to be, but honestly, the meat was too tough. I forgive them. Forget all the other touristy big boxes you see and try Le Poulbot. T

Had a great set menu lunch on a Saturday. Service was excellent and the food was simple but honest and done well.

Oh oh yummy!!! My husband saw this place down a side alley off the square of artists. This place was delicious. No English menu should tell you right off the bat that it’s gonna be better than most that would have one. This place is like old Paris as it was before all the tourists showed up. My husband and I both got the set prix fixed menu and I literally had the best duck confit of my life!!! Started with the smoked salmon but let’s face it that taste the same no matter where you go but the duck oh man the duck was just out of this world. The perfect amount of salt to make the potatoes cooked in the same dish unforgettable. My husband had the beef bourgeon and although he offered a bite which was lovely, I couldn’t separate myself from what was in front of me. If you are looking for a place not packed(yet) with a lot of obnoxious tourists that was a real taste of Pais, this is the spot. Yummy!!!’

We loved how intimate the restaurant was with only 10(or so) tables. Wonderful prix fixe menus(starting with 3 courses at 17 euro) available with a selection of options when you’re touring around Montmartre – virtually next door to Sacre-Coeur. I will certainly return when I’m next in Montmartre!
