We went to this restaurant on the recommendation of our hotel. My mother had the tuna and I had the steak. Both were good. I felt my steak was under cooked for what I ordered so If you are deciding between medium and medium rare I would maybe err on the medium side. I really liked the creamy sauce that came with steak. The tuna was cooked as ordered and well seasoned with sesame seeds. The service was a little subpar compared to some of the other restaurants in Paris, probably because we are American. Our waiter did warm up to us a bit towards the end. We had the Mille feuille dessert with strawberries which was light and refreshing but nothing life changing.

Very nice french cuisine. We ordered the raw meat with fries and salad. Comes with egg on top of a raw hamburger patty. Very french but too much and I dont recommend the dish. Also had the veal with pasta which was excellent tasting, as well as an excellent value. Great to people watching as well.

Do not go. The food is expensive and not all that great. The service is quite strange. They take forever to bring you your check and then forever to accept your payment, even when absolutely empty. There are so many other better places to go in Paris. My son had the cheeseburger, which was good — the fries were so so. I had a soba/shrimp dish with a rather slimy mango chutney. Again, we could have done better elsewhere and we will.

My wife, grandson and I had lunch here on a warm June day. We ate at an outside table. The service was very good(despite some of the other reviews). The view of Luxembourg Gardens was very pleasant. We enjoyed all aspects of the lunch including a nice and affordable glass of petit chablis. All the dishes we ordered were very nicely done and delicious. This restaurant deserves it high ranking.

Went to this Parisian restaurant this past Saturday evening, based on a recommendation of our hotel clerk. The restaurant has only been open for less than a year and was right across the street from Jardin du Luxembourg. The food was outstanding. The service was warm, friendly and helpful. Our waitress, Liddy, spoke perfect English and was very fashionably dressed. We were welcomed as if we were family, an unusual reception for us in Paris. My daughter ordered the salmon steamed in a basket, which was wonderful. My wife and I ordered the cod plancetta, which was a large portion of the most moist fish we had ever eaten. My son ordered a steak, which was prepared perfectly. His french fries were authentic and delicious. Do not leave, however, without ordering the Meille Fueille dessert(maybe not spelled exactly). It was highly recommended by the hotel staff and it was like nothing we had ever eaten. A great meal in a warm setting. It made a nice ending to our stay in Paris.

A cozy, quaint«classic» and slightly upscale bistro. Patio faces on a busy street, but nicely done. Interior seating on both main and lower levels — definitely better on the main level. It’s not huge, but guests are seated where there’s space, and not crowded together. We walked in around 2pm to request a dinner reservation at 8pm, it was not an issue. We were treated with patience and respect — we spoke French, however badly, but we found the server was equally nice to english speaking guests, just maybe not as effusive. Ambiance is bistro classic, attire is business casual. We dressed for dinner, guests adjacent to us(Scottish tourists) were in jeans. Food, which is the point of going, was delicious. Creative, well executed. We shared an appetizer of crab/mango verrine, and it was great. Mains were equally well executed, though my salmon came with an enormous pile of mashed potatoes that seemed to be destined just to fill the plate. Uncharacteristic in France. Food was fresh, tasty, and presented well. Some confusion on the wines, that came down to cultural differences. We asked for a half-litre carafe of white, as listed on the menu. We were told it was not available, would we prefer glasses of wine or a full bottle. We ended up going with a full bottle, but saw other guests getting the carafes we had requested. Turns out we asked for it wrong, not that we were scammed in any way. Should have pointed to the menu where it listed the wines, but in the end, we drank our bottle quite happily, so no harm! The wine list is extensive enough to suit most tastes. Located directly across from the Jardins du Luxembourg. Convenient access from the 6e and 7e arrondissements — we walked in a leisurely 20 minutes from an apartment 2 blocks south of the Seine. All in all, a lovely experience. Top 50 in all of Paris? Not necessarily — that’s a high standard! But it’s a close call. And it’s very good, and by the look of other reviews, consistently so. Worth visiting if you’re up for a slightly dressy, delicious experience.
