A wonderful corner café right around the corner from the Jardin des Tuileries. We stumbled upon this place years ago and this trip our concierge directed us here– for a great selection of food and cocktails. I am in love with the steak tartare and French onion soup, to be prepared with an espresso martini. You can never go wrong with some Sancerre, and they have it here by the bottle. The spring roles and foie gras are also great options. The host is friendly and accommodating and my niece loves the lollipop that was offered when we finished. A definite stop if in Paris by the park!

This place is recommended to me by French locals. Needed a late night meal near Place Vendome — which really clears out after 9pm. So at 10pm wandered in. Had tuna tartare and a hamburger(recommended by my locals). Both were great. Place was pretty empty. You want to eat downstairs. Service was great and there was no attitude at all when I said we were business travelers who had to «eat and run» quickly. Love the atmosphere. So Parisian. In the Spring and Summer, this is a nice place for a late evening beer. I love that this place is open late. About 3 – 4 tables outside. Just off of Castiglione — basically across the street and around the corner from the Westin. Convenient to the Westin, Mandarin Oriental and the Ritz. One block from Jardin Tuileries and two blocks or so from the Louvre. And color me a fan of Place Vendome and that great column. And thank you for the late night hours.

Stopped in for some wine and a cheese platter. We had prompt service and they were friendly. We order a glass of wine for 12 euros and a cheese platter for 25 euros. The cheese dish had 6 different cheeses. A bit pricey but the cheese was good.

Mediocre brasserie on a busy street… Nuff said. 24 euro for a plate of smoke salmon. Service was a bit slow

Great restaurant. We’ve been here for 3 years in a row now. Food is good and a good value. Service is friendly and my lack of French language skills has never gotten in the way. Always look forward to these meals.

We woke up late and wanted to find a place for a quick breakfast — the café’s red velvet curtains and bordello looking design drew us in. Service was okay but server didn’t bother to write down our order — hence the incorrect dish was served to us(this seems to be the norm or is it just me?). We were in a hurry so we didn’t even bother to send it back. Food was okay and didn’t make too much of an impression. I think that it’s better to have a coffee and croissant at the bar.

Good food and nice ambience for a mid-shopping meal. Had the foie gras and the grilled sole and it was very good, the fries were ok, nothing special and the veal Milanese was pretty bland and over cooked, but I will come back and get something else off the menu.

It was our last night in Paris, and we had been out all day and we’re looking for something, easy, casual, and close to our hotel(the Westin near Le Jardin Tuileries). The concierge recommended this place. It had a very charming and Parisean atmosphere. The menu was somewhat limited, but what we did have was very good. My husband had the rack of lamb, and I had a warm goat cheese salad. While I would not recommend this as a go to destination, if you are in the area, and are looking for something quick and easy, this is a very good choice.

Very over priced. Pitiful service. Food is quite disappointing. Staff is very rude and do not seem to have any regard for customer service. This restaurant seems to be ideal for tourists for who have no common sense or more money than sense. Avoid it!

I’ve eaten at this restaurant several times, and I’ve never been disappointed. Tonight was no different; I had sole meunière and a chardonnay. The sole was very good and served with mashed potatoes that complemented the delicate fish. I had a table for one just inside the building, but open onto the street, giving me shelter from the breeze but a good view of the traffic on the street. I erred by having the chocolat glacé for dessert. It was truly good, but it was too strong to follow the sole. I’m a fan of this restaurant, and recommend it.

A emporter!!!

Mistake #1: Listening to the recommendation from the concierge at the Westin for a great little local place near the hotel. Mistake #2: Not leaving immediately upon being shuttled upstairs for dinner into a room full of tourists. As I heard a waiter say to a local that had wandered in(I think he assumed no one spoke French), «Not in that room, that is for the tourists.» Food was mediocre at best — solid $ 25 for a plate of penne pasta with canned sauce and a single lonely basil leaf. Other dishes ordered at our table were devoid of flavor. Got two stars as the waiter was pleasant and attentive, definitely not for the food.

I ate here twice with the family, both times upstairs where its mostly empty — and the kids can misbehave… The food is pretty good, the home made foie gras is tasty! Small portions, a la France, and Expensive it sure is… like most of Paris, especially around this Plaza Vendome area! 3.5 rounding to 4

This was the place where my son had snails for the first time. The waiter said«Don’t worry, there’s so much garlic, you can’t taste the snail». And he was right! Delicious! Staff was helpful and aimed to please. Food selection was varied and good. Ambiance was warm and attractive. I’d go back!

While staying at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel I asked one of the staff where to go for a bite to eat and enjoy a drink while taking in the Paris ambiance, this place was perfect. It was a nice day out so I sat outside taking in the ambiance and people watching. I ordered the Grilled tenderloin of beef and Béarnaise sauce rare and when it arrived, the presentation was perfect and after my first bite, I knew that I found a place that I would return to as it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. I ordered a chardonnay from their extensive wine list, this place is family owned and operated and you can tell it’s a family that has its priorities right, make the food the best in the 1st district and the ambiance exactly what people want and the customers will come. They do take reservations and if you are looking to dine during the prime times please do make a reservation.

Sitting outside in any Paris café among the Parisians, the cigarettes and the caffes is a MUST do. I like this one because it is on Saint Honore meaning sexy men and pretty women. I smelled money there.

I am staying with five stars simply because the food is excellent with a wine list to match. The only disappointment was they have become too Americanized rushing the food before the wine! We will always love this place. A burger to die for. Specials are always spot on and did I say their wine is awesome. Eat inside for a more romantic feel upstairs in the red velvet seats. Sit outside and you get to hear discussions of politics from people who live in other countries but know so much about American politics. People it is vacation. Can we just shut up and eat?

Overall, I would give this restaurant A+. It has great ambience, excellent food, and welcoming service. Their desire to please was phenomenal. There’re two parts to this restaurant. The downstairs is a bar and café which allows you to sit by The bar watching television or sports as well as outside. Upstairs however, is a restaurant. In that restaurant there’s a quieter more intimate feeling. The staff there were very welcoming and let us stay for several hours without bothering us in any regard. The food was excellent and freshly made and very tasty. My wife had organic salmon and I had the fish of the day. Just as a note, the fish of the day came as a whole fish. I was surprised by that. However I was very pleasantly surprised by the taste of the food. My wife had an appetizer with goat cheese and I had a traditional French onion soup. Both were excellent. Finally, we had a Napoleon. It was not what I expected having had American napoleons. However it was lighter and more flavorful with vanilla cream. The waiter, Vincent, was very receptive and very friendly. He accommodated my terrible French and also gave us good information regarding dishes. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

I’ve eaten there several times and the food is good. The location is great and if you’re looking for a quiet dinner then you should go upstairs. The service is not consistant — sometimes it’s poor and inattentive and other times it was fine.
