Nice steak and very good roasted chicken. Excellent crème brulee and just an overall nice place.

Lucked into getting a table on NYE. Cute as heck little spot right across from The Seine. Awesomely energetic waiter! Get the whole Roast Duck. Do it.

I had high expectations for this restaurant. The upside is that it is cute & cozy inside & a great location. The male servers were fabulous & friendly. The woman(who took our orders) was efficient — but far from warm or friendly.(I.e.: She saw us leave and barely acknowledged us, whatever.). But what I am reviewing here is the food which was Really Bad. We both ordered the Coq Au Vin & I seriously thought it was borderline inedible. The chicken was completely dry, tough & tasteless. I should have sent it back. Horrible Coq Au Vin! My friend’s was dry as well. I don’t get the hype. Save your money for a good French restaurant with all great servers(like La Fontaine De Mars).

ADORE this place. First of all, the food is fantastic! Hubby had coq au vin and loved it, with the exception of the fact that he was expecting dark meat and instead it came with white meat. But he still loved it! I had the steak which was also delicious. We shared a mini dessert tray and coffee which was to die for. Best part, you can watch the chefs cook while you eat. This place is so charming — exactly what I was hoping restaurants in France would be like. We walked to it at night from the Louvre and the walk was beautiful. LOVE this place and will definitely go back! Oh and wait staff speaks good English, which was a plus!

Another great find in Paris! Everything was cooked to perfection. We had the fioe gras, escargot, ribeye steak and sausage. All were delicious. Friendly staff — Loved watching the chefs prepare the food. We plan to go back tomorrow for more. This will be another«regular» for us when we visit Paris.

Great escargots. Roast chicken — my husband liked. Coq au vin was done very well and big portion. The ile flottant is a must share! Good wine. Service very good. Mix of tourists and locals celebrating a birthday.

We visited this restaurant on the advice of one of our friends. I thought the foie gras and coq au vin were both delicious. However, the pommes de terre(mashed potatoes) with the half chicken and the crème brûlée were the highlights of our meals. The service was wonderful throughout the entire evening. I will definitely return on my next trip to Paris!

We ate there our first night in Paris. The rotisserie chicken was great! It was crispy on the outside and tender and juicy inside. This is one our in-law’s favorite restaurants in the city. Reasonably priced, with excellent house wines and easy to eat a little healthy. And yes, I ate endless amounts of the delicious baguettes! There is a great view of the Seine and Ile Saint Louis and the perfect location for an after dinner burn the baguette walk. Great choice!

Absolutely one of the best meals I’ve had in Paris. We come here every few months and always have a delightful experience. The food is simple and authentic French fare. My recommendations are, of course, the half roast chicken. It’s unparalleled. I also recommend the absolutely delicious escargots. Bön appetit!

The Rotisserie du Beaujolais is what the French called«un restaurant honnete.» It means darn good. The products are always fresh and of a good quality. The service competent and friendly. The ambiance pleasant. We always go a few times during our annual Parisian stays and always take friends and family who are universally pleased and satisfied. Not cheap, but then not super expensive by Parisian standards.

There for lunch. This is a regular stop for us over the years because of its founding by the now deceased legendary owner of la tour d’argent. The best is always the half roast chicken with mash, and today one of us had the coq au vin Beaujolais with pieces of lardon and a sauce that is superb. The wine list is good with a range of quality and prices but one should honour the founder and have a Beaujolais. One of us had the café gourmand with its 3 mini desserts and they were all excellent. Service was prompt and efficient

Bonjour.

When a friend took me here for the first time I was not thrilled about going. A Rotisserie? Really? Now I go back when I’m in Paris. I’m not sure what it is exactly… is it the chicken that is so tender and juicy or the creamy potatoes or the atmosphere or the wine. It doesn’t matter because it’s just a favorite now and I will always try to make it when in town. I took my family last year and the kids still talk about it as well.

We came here dressed up as Unilocal said its dressy attire. This place is so casual it put me to shame. Their coq au vin was just alright despite everyone raving its their specialty and its the best. Ugh! We ordered a bunch of things and the only thing we liked was the mushroom appetizer and the St Emilion red wine. We wouldn’t be back.

We did not have a reservation on a Saturday night but when we arrived at 7:40PM they kindly accommodated us, particularly since it was my birthday. The ambience is pleasant and cheery. We sat in the outer area. We had a smiling and energetic waiter who spoke excellent English and got us English menus. I started with a perfect shrimp salad, and then had a big flavorful rib eye steak cooked medium. This is European beef but it was tasty and well cooked. It came with double the amount of fries I could eat. My daughter got a half of rotisserie chicken with fries and the chicken was flavorful and moist. They had a nice wine selection too. I had a glass of fine Beaujolais that was perfect with the steak. Thumbs up to La Rotisserie for a wonderful meal with a nice view of the Seine and Ile Saint Louis. Thank you!

This is a cozy little restaurant along the banks of the Seine. It was fully packed the night we went, so it looks like reservations are your best bet. The crowd on the night we went seemed to be mostly English speaking, so it was perhaps a bit louder than other restaurants we dined at. The wait staff were all very friendly I had the gigantic serving of mashed potatoes and a half chicken. While both were really good, I had some roasted chicken and potatoes a few nights before from a street vendor and I preferred it over the Beaujolais version. My mom had the Veal and enjoyed it. For dessert I had the Tarte Tatin, like the chicken, the serving was huge. It was good, but was served cold, I wish it had been warm. My mom’s crème brûlée was yummy. Overall while I was not blown away by the meal, it was good for the area it is in and made for a nice walk after dinner.

Tres Bien! The roast chicken with buttery mashed potatoes is humongous and won’t disappoint! We also loved the desserts(ask for what’s best) and they had great wine recommendations. They have really sweet waiters and a friendly neighborhood cat that comes in the restaurant. There were some annoying American families here with children who were sort of loud, but it didn’t distract us too much. As long as you’re polite, I don’t think you’ll be grouped with them, and you could tell they really appreciated nice Americans who tried to speak French! We went here for our anniversary — it’s not the cheapest restaurant — but it’s also affordable. One thing they’re missing — fresh fruits and vegetables. If you’re looking for that, don’t come here!

We loved this place. Nice atmosphere, lovely cocktail selection(including a lot of non-French options, like bourbon), and a thoughtful and well-prepared menu. I had fish with sauteed endives, which were delightful — I had never had cooked endives before! My dad went for the roast chicken, which was perfectly cooked, and my boyfriend had the veal kidneys, which were perfectly cooked(and milder in flavor than I was expecting) and surrounded by this outrageous cream sauce. The café gourmand is a great option for dessert — my coffee was accompanied by an ile flottante, a perfectly light little cup of chocolate mousse, and a pistachio crème brûlée, which was a nice riff on the original. Oh, and the restaurant is open on Sundays and holidays, which is great. This is a terrific little restaurant run by the same folks who own La Tour d’Argent, where you can get delicious, thoughtfully prepared food at a small fraction of the price. I’m definitely keeping this on the list for my next visit.

This is one of the best meals I had in France. Had beef tartar(year yearh I’m a tourist) and was fantastic. The waitress was very attentative and attractive… can I say that? And she spoke very good English. Location was excellent with the view of the river and on the quiet street with almost no traffic(car service could wait there entier time we ate, fantastic) I ate here with a group of American biz peeps and we were all happy camper at the end… and price was reasonable for the quality.

My foodie teacher recommended me to come here. And so this became the most expensive restaurant I ever paid for. The salad was good but regretted ordering coq au vin. Just for tourists to know, its more like a fall/winter dish. So, dont eat it during the summer even if it’s in your«to-eat» list. I say just go with whatever is the daily special than the menu. Most of their clientele seemed to be older and um, richer. However, they let me in with my jeans and sneakers for lunch. The place is a bit cramped in some areas, however the service was nice and they were quick and accommodating. Interestingly enough, I met a fellow new yorker couple there and they treated me for dessert. One of them lived in france and he said that this was one of his go-to places for classics. Just a note.

A tenter.
