This restaurant is my favorite in all of Paris, with a magical hidden atmosphere and wonderful owner/chef(from what I can tell he does 100% of the work and has no employees). I stumbled across it for the first time last May on vacation and was blown away. The place is small and cozy — and located down a cute residential street in Montmartre so away from the crowds. I hesitate to write this review as once this is discovered it’ll be tough to get a table, but it’s heartbreaking to walk a couple blocks away after a delicious meal and see the crowds eating at the many tourist restaurants in Montmartre totally oblivious to the culinary perfection so nearby! Now on to the food — I came here first last May and had Pesto Penne which I have dreamed about ever since then. Back in Paris again in January, I returned to have a squid ink spaghetti creation that I’m not sure can ever be topped. I love Italian food and have spent a lot of time in Italy and it’s my go-to food in the U.S., and this restaurant is simply the best. Finally, the owner is incredibly awesome! He comes out to our table with a handwritten menu and explains all the dishes — everything is handmade and perfect! I wish I could give this 1,000 stars, seriously. If you are staying in Montmartre(or anywhere in Paris) you owe it to yourself to come here!!!
