This location is a bit far from the central Area of Paris, however the train station is a few feet away. Super easy to find and it’s near the canal… There’s a cute street along the canal for a romantic stroll and restaurants to enjoy near the hot. There are tons of restaurants around and a bank/post office down the street to exchange/get money. Staff members are extremely helpful and nice! They let us hang out at the hotel after check-out so we can go eat and they held out luggage! The rooms are tiny… It was good enough for the boo and I but not that much room for anything else. we had two twins in out room that we «connected» to make a queen. There’s a closet and a small bathroom. TV channels are all in French. didn’t do much watching anyways… We didn’t get the breakfast option which was 9 euros per person per day… We decided to go next door to Dia. There supermarket and just got a baguette and some pâté and made out own lil breakfast. Much cheaper too! Okay. Why a 3 star? Their wifi sucked in our room… We brought our iPhones. iPads. MacBooks and he only thing that seemed to work was the MacBook… And sometimes that wouldn’t work. It was a bit annoying but I guess u can always go down to their lobby… Oh yea. It’s dark in the hotel… The hallways are dark. Yes there are lights but I guess that’s how they roll here. Bottom line… Would be come back? No. We would want something a lil closer to the center BUT we don’t regret staying here at all. Hope this helps!

Stayed here for a short break in the middle of July. First off, the rooms aren’t what you will expect, they don’t look like the pictures and they are quite small, but that said, our room was clean, convenient and had all the things you would need such as free wifi, a tv, a good shower(a bit small maybe, but good pressure) and individual air conditioning. The Metro station is also way closer than it looks on maps, if you make sure to exit Riquet via the smaller station exit then the hotel is literally right in front of you no more than 10 feet away. People have said on here that they had money stolen, but honestly I don’t see how. There are safes available for € 4 a night behind a locked door at reception, why you wouldn’t use them is a mystery to me. Also the area is great! The area’s along the canal are brilliant in the evenings. There is live music and dancing, bars, café’s and a generally chilled atmosphere. There is a great little bar at the end called Cote Canal with really friendly staff.

We stayed in the Guest Room(Past experience, Re-calling) AUG2011 On sixth floor but still a lot of street noise throughout the night — Av de Flandres is a very busy road. Best to close the windows but then in summer it is very hot to some people, I thought it was«Mild»(room does have air conditioning, but I couldn’t sleep with that noise either). The Room was small but clean, have been renovated with Hollywood film-stars wallpaper; like Clark Gable, Charlie Chaplin. We bought nice various pic-nick/gourmet nibbles and fresh fruit from neighbouring supermarket across the road instead. There is no restaurant or bar for evening meals/drinks — but plenty of choices on the streets outside. We were there for five nights and it was close to the Hostels meeting spot which is a 15 minutes’ walk. Good location — we walked to the Metro lines if you want to go into central Paris too. I do think I’d stay there again, a little expensive for what it is. –The Hotel is at good location(close to metro and nice canal). Different from the web-page pictures online. Wireless internet dropped out once or twice. You can hear the metro in the room as you lay in bed.

I stayed here as part of an EF Tours trip for middle school and high school kids. So, first, be aware that you may be staying with a LARGE group of students. I have been to Paris previously, so I understand that hotels in Paris are more expensive with smaller rooms than most other cities. Nonetheless, this hotel was a terrible experience. First, when our group arrived, a few in our party found the rooms not cleaned, with(bloody!) towels and sheets from the previous guest in the room. There was minimal apology for this. They did give different rooms, but the next day inconvenienced us with having to move to the original rooms due to the rate difference. Second, my Ipod was stolen from my room. The staff were absolutely unapologetic about this, indicating that the hotel cleaning was contracted out and they had absolutely no idea who had been in my room. Third, the room was dirty. I have stayed in Youth Hostels MUCHMUCH nicer than this hotel. So, dirty, unsafe, and rude. The ONLY redeeming quality is that it is close to the metro, which is necessary as it is far far from the center of Paris.
