Hôtel du Haut Marais

Stranded in paris for one more night due to «migrants in the tunnel» meant we had to look for a cheap hotel last minute. Found this one online — picked it mainly due to price and location.
Price included brekkie (which takes place down stairs — classic french baguettes & viennoiserie with jam & butter, as well as fruits and coffee of course) as well as wifi (always a benefit!).
The room was tiny, but didnt need much more space than that. Cute little room though & absolutely gorgeous bathroom. Everything had clearly been renovated recently but still kept an old school feel about it.
One thing to mention we had our room on the first floor giving on the road — right in front of a middle school. Im guessing you know where im going with this — screaaaaaming kids!!! Sound proof isnt too bad, but it would need to be amazing to keeo the kids noise out!
Side note — theres much worse place than Paris to be stranded in!!!

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel du Haut Marais. Didier was a great help and the bed and breakfast is safe and secure. We appreciated the updated bathroom and beautiful rain shower. The breakfast was also delicious and how wonderful that it is included in your price. Didier works very hard to make your stay comfortable. We heard from other guests that the children across the street were loud, but our window did not overlook the front street where the children attend school. Thus our stay was quiet and we slept well! Important to note: The hotel does not have air conditioning. In a hotter month it may be very hot… We were fine with just the ceiling fan.
