I found the Hotel Diana to be an excellent choice for my Paris visit. Very close to the Siene at St. Michelle and Notre Dame, it is also steps from the Metro surrounded by lots of cafes and other eateries. I found my room to be clean, well laid out with everything in good working order at an excellent price. The staff were very gracious and helpful with lots of great tips on transpo, etc. I could not reserve them through the travel sites, but I was able to get everything locked up with an email exchange with them through their website. I had a street facing room which was great in the morning but a little noisy at night but after a day of tromping through Paris, I was out like a light anyway. The in room fridge was an unexpected bonus. At first I thought their breakfast was a little lacking but after hitting the street I discovered, Parisian breakfast just isn’t much. If you need protein, McDonalds or Starbucks down the street is your only quick option. I guess if you stay in some big fancy place, they will have eggs and sausage.

Overall a great experience! Really can’t say a bad thing about this place. I booked my trip to Paris last minute and really had no idea what area Hotel Diana was in. I found it was in the perfect location! The Eiffel Tower is a 30⁄40 minute walk, Louvre/Orsay 10⁄15 and Notre Dam is just up the road. The price was also an amazing deal for the area. The cheapest I found after looking at 10+ hotels– 95 euros a night. The rooms are clean and spacious. The service at the desk was also friendly, especially Damien. My only suggestion is to book ahead by 2 – 4 weeks at least– they don’t have many rooms. I got lucky finding a room available especially during Fashion Week.

When reading this review, you must consider the typical budget Parisian hotel: small, cramped bathroom, lack of AC, etc. This hotel more than adequately addresses them all. The room that we had was relatively spacious, with a double bed and some room to move around. The mattress was very comfortable and linens were perfectly clean(no gross bed covering that you typically find in hotels). There was also a relatively spacious bathroom with a nice bath tub(a good find in Paris). The room had quiet, perfectly-working AC and the Wifi was free. There was also a safe in the room. We were basically on a roll. The room also had double windows, which eliminated the noise from the adjacent street(this was amazing). The location is also quite nice. It’s in the Latin quarter, walking distance from Notre Dame, Luxembourg Gardens, and the Sorbonne. Metro access is easy as well, in fact it is on a direct RER B line from CDG airport(station St. Michele) Plus, I haven’t even gotten to the best part, which was the breakfast. It was 8 euros, and there was a plentiful selection of breads, jams, cheeses, yogurts, fruits, and cereals. All was super tasty. Plus the coffee and hot chocolate were delicious, brought out in small cute pitchers so you could have a nice servicing. We went all around France during our trip and I still remember the drinks there. Yummy. Overall, the price was right, the location was good, and the rooms were great. I would recommend it to anyone.

We got exactly what we expected at Hotel Diana in November 2011. It’s close to public transit, walking distance to everything(for city walkers) and clean. Yes, it’s a small room, but that’s what you get for this price range in Europe. Also, the staff was so friendly! When we checked in Thomas gave us the run down and then also took time to setup one of our dinner reservations. The rooms were a little outdated, but nothing to complain about. Also, the bathrooms where recently renovated and spotless so this place is a great value.

Had the pleasure of a 4 night stay in August 2011. Wonderful little hotel with wi-fi, air conditioning, lift, and most important, spotless bathrooms. Although the rooms are not large they are very comfortable and mine included a flat screen TV, telephone, and mini-fridge, most of which I would not have expected for what is supposed to be only a 2 star hotel. In addition, the double windows kept all unwanted noise out. The location is fantastic, close to Île de la Cité, RER and metro stations. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating and I will definitely return.

This little hotel, just a short step from Notre Dame and easily accessible from the metro(Cluny La Sorbonne). The rooms are on the small side but by no means the smallest rooms in Paris that I have experienced and there is even a bath in the bathroom — most unusual for a small hotel. The rooms seem to have been newly refurbished and were clean and light. A hairdryer and kettle are provided(but no cups). Breakfast is available but you have to order the evening before at reception. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and all speak English. I think it’s a little gem!
