Never go to this restaurant if you want to be treated with a decent customer service. I ordered a take out from here and the guy was giving me so much attitude starting from the opening time. No, I can’t make the food for you until 7pm. I said your menu said 6:30pm. He said you know we are hungry. Okay, then you should not be in the restaurant business! I have never experienced lazy Chinese ppl until I came to this restaurant. Then he gave me attitude when I asked why there was no rice bec the first time I came to this restaurant, the rice was served with no charge! Not that I couldn’t afford 1 euro rice! The food was also mediocre! I won’t be going back there ever again!

Really great Chinese food. Really spicy. If you like hot and spicy Sichuan food, it would be a good choice. They serve fast. Friendly staff and nice environment.

Malgré cela, j’aime me fixer des défis.

In search of the ephemeral Dan Dan noodles, we tried this place in my neighborhood. Everything except the Dan Dan noodles was great — the former being flavourless and needed to be liberally doused with soy and other sauces. Their stri fried tofu in garlic sauce was really good though. Perhaps another visit to try something different.

Our last night in Paris and we werent sure what to eat and where. We were staying near to Porte St Martin and decided after three days of sight-seeing, that we wished to eat nearby. I checked on Unilocal and saw Delices was five minutes away so thats where we went. Its Sichuan cooking which is traditionally spicier than people expect of Chinese food. The restaurant is decorated with the requisite gold and red of traditional Chinese restaurants. We were seated straight away near the window as it was quiet. We ordered our food from a large selection of items. There were loads of things that I was not sure of so i played it safe. I had the dim sum in spicy sauce and chicken with black mushrooms as a main. The parcels were delicious but the chicken itsself was very bland. My partner had the cold shrimp salad which was delicious and then he had the chicken with ginger which was tasty bar the chicken which was again very bland. We had a large Singha each and the bill total came to € 47.50 which was reasonable. However our experience turned a little surreal as a group of Chinese business men came into the restaurant and one of them started giving out to a lady– the owner I think. I got the impression that they had eaten already in the restaurant and were back because they were unhappy with something. Anyway the shouting went on for 5 minutes and then they left. Then all the staff including the chef ended up arguing at the counter near us for the best part of twenty minutes. It was annoying and comical in parts as it was very unprofessional behaviour but also unexpected. I didnt realise how many people were eating in the restaurant until I saw people getting up and paying their bills at the counter. There were four French lads paying their bill and the owner kept up shouting with the staff while they were paying her!! It went quiet for a while because the staff disappeared into the kitchen but then I could hear the owner and the chef arguing again. Overall I would rate the food as reasonable but average. However the disrespect the owner showed to us, her customers by shouting in public, pulls my rating down. I wont be back.

For Chinese food in Paris, this place absolutely deserves 5 stars. I have had the most disgusting and expensive chinese food since being here. Granted I haven’t tried each one, but the thought of paying at least 15 euros for food which has been sitting for however long, kills me. I saw this place the other day, and sprinted across the street to have a look at the menu. There were legitimately asian people inside, and no display cases full of already prepared dishes. I returned the next day for lunch(they seem to serve non-stop from open to close, but I could be wrong). We ordered the aubergines in a porc sauce(78) and the poulet pimente de ChongQing(44) as well as the chicken corn soup and assortment of steamed dim sums… The aubergines were fantastic, a definite repeat, the ChongQing chicken was my wild card(not to my taste– really fried bits of chopped chicken with pieces of bones… overly greasy for me), and the corn soup was missing the flavour… BUT, still the best chinese food I have had in Paris and I will absolutely return. The prices were great 7 – 12 euro per main, and you leave stuffed.

On my way home tonight too exhausted to think about cooking anything I passed by Delices Sichuan and though, «Hey wonder if they do take-out too?» Much to my surprise — and relief — they do! While the 20-minute wait seemed excruciatingly long, I took it as a sign that my dishes were being prepared to order and hoped for the best. When I got home and opened up the neatly prepared plastic containers, still relatively hot, and saw all of the fresh hot peppers staring out at me I knew that good times were ‘a coming and that this might well turn out to be my best Chinese take away experience in Paris yet. And boy was it. The salt and pepper chicken was fabulous, as well as the spicy sauteed snow peas and the schezuan pepper pork. So good in fact that I suddenly felt transported to one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in NYC! Definitely recommend coming here to stay, but now even more so to-go, especially since the prices are less 10%.
