Brasserie Le Bourbon

This was another restaurant not that long ago and I’m glad to see it back — though, frankly, in much the same fashion and menu. Had an excellent dinner here though also a pricey breakfast. Didn’t really have a choice as I had an elderly guest staying around the corner who really took a shine to this place. Can’t complain!

Honestly this restaurant has been a huge disappointment from the beginning. We came in because we expected good service but what we got really wasn’t up to standard. As for the service: Slow and rude. In an empty restaurant we had to wait 10 minutes for one of the 3 waiters there to even give us a menu. They ended up giving it to us after we asked. The food was very weird. The burger was decent but there was no bacon (Advertised as bacon cheesburger) the meat that I asked for was medium done, but I ended up getting a well done. To add to this, the fries actually looked like they were made a week ago and had a similar taste to them. This all may seem like little things, but the rudeness of the waiter at the end, and her forcing us to move all our things from the seats next to us (although the whole restaurant was free) was a bit of a joke, since Noone sat at those seats anyway. Atleast the wifi was free.

Superb Lunch!
We stumbled upon this fabulous corner restaurant after giving up on the long lines at the Musee d’Orsay.
Our long, relaxed lunch was a highlight of our trip to Paris. We were the only tourists at this place… it’s the real deal.
BTW, we finally made it to the Musee d’Orsay and it was the best museum experience in Paris-it’s a must.

Moyen
On attend beaucoup plus d’un restaurant situé en face de l’Assemblée Nationale. La carte est bien garnie et variée. Les menus aussi puisque que l’on trouve des menus relativement simples ou plus sophistiqués. Par contre, moyen au niveau gustatif tout en se laissant déguster. Au niveau prix, la gamme est étendue et on peut manger correctement sans se ruiner. La clientèle est variée allant du badaud au parlementaire. Le cadre est classique.

Bourbon on my mind
Effectivement au Bourbon vous croiserez des politiciens, journalistes… mais pour ca il faudra casser votre tirelire. La déco, bon, c’est une brasserie mais en mieux. La nourriture y est bonne, le choix en vin aussi et les serveurs sont efficaces mais rien sauf la proximité immédiate de l’assemblée né justifie les tarfis. Donc lieu agréable, interressant pour qui veut voir ses députés dejeuner.

L’Institution
Qui né connait pas le Bourbon, endroit fréquenté par toute la classe politique française, par des journalistes avides de bruits de couloir, par des assistants parlementaires en «pause»… Même si les tarifs sont assez salés, le lieu vaut le détour, laissez vous tenter ! A essayer.
