Vraiment sympa! Ambiance Pub Britannique! Une terrasse pratique et agréable l’été à deux pas de la place du palais de Justice, à l’intérieur un coin avec des tables pour s’isoler entre amis. Au fond du Pub une grande salle où il y a l’ambiance et passé une certaine heure, tout le monde se met à danser sur les tables. Vraiment une adresse à connaitre pour faire visiter le Vieux Nice!

I mean, for an English Pub in the country of France, you’re definitely bold. I give you that. However, I’m afraid I definitely had better in all parts of the world.
Lets start with the good; The burger is good, at least the Classic Burger is absolutely value for money! And then… The chicken wings, not impressive; super greasy, fried too long (or reheated) so that the skin becomes leathery, not much flavour. The BBQ sauce is OK (dip ‘m like crazy) but I don’t believe for a second it’s homemade. The tortilla crisps on which the wings were served came from a bag that had been opened a while ago, so they’d lost their crunch. The service… Well, at some point I wanted to ask the waitress if I had done anything to upset her; had we been rude? Unfriendly to her? Slaughtered her family in a previous life? Friendliness wasn’t spent on us at least… The table was sticky, obviously not been cleaned.
I bet you can have a great time here at night; at the bar drinking beers, listening to live music. I was just really surprised with the overall rating on Unilocal,because I wouldn’t recommend it after my experience.

What a great diamond in the rough! We had been traveling around Europe for a few weeks and looking for something different. Wayne’s fit the bill perfectly. I had the Chicken sandwich with Cranberry and Brie. I was a little unsure at first but it was absolutely amazing! The band playing that night just added to the atmosphere. Our server, Angus, was fun and gave great suggestions. We even went back from lunch a few days later. Thanks for a wonderful dinner and evening

On né peut pas passer à côté du Wayne’s ! C’est le pub de Nice so british situé dans la vieille ville (proche du palais de justice).
Si tu aimes déguster ta bière en écoutant des concerts, cette adresse est pour toi !
J’aime y venir entre amis après le boulot pour découvrir de chouettes groupes.
L’ambiance est internationale et le staff est très cool. Ici, on passé sa commande en anglais: D et on vient faire la fête jusqu’à deux h du mat ^^
La danse sur les tables est même autorisée ! ! Je vous promets de voyager le temps d’une soirée.
Foncez au Wayne’s si vous recherchez une adresse festive avec au programme: live music /​friends /​cocktails & foodporn. Je n’ai jamais goûté leurs burgers maison mais ils ont bonne réputation.

Grosse déception.
On est loin d’un bar a bières. Uniquement 5 bières très commune trouvable dans n’importe quel bar de Nice…
Habituer aux V&B avec un choix immense de bières et vin, je trouve que le choix est très restreint.
Pour parler des burgers: c’est bof, burgers bon mais cher pour le produit présenté…
Comparé a un atelier du burgers toulousain ou même un foodtruck c’est pas top pour le prix.
Pour finir par le prix on est de 7 € a 10 € le burgers on rajoute 4 € a 7 € pour l’accompagnement ainsi que 2 € a 8 € pour les boissons avec ou sans alcool.
Bref a 2 avec 1 burger des frites pour 1 personnes ainsi que 2 boissons on arrive facilement a 29 € la même chose dans le centre toulousain ce paye 30 € mais pour 3 personnes.

Wayne’s bar in Nice is a great place to pull up a seat and watch people wander through the amazing old town.
The food is particularly good too. It is Parisian/​English pub style fare. Me and my guest shared a mixed platter. It came complete with local cured meats, spare ribs, local olives and even fresh herring. It was a large and interesting combination that proved to be the ideal snack for enjoying the warm day, along with a couple of glasses of rose.
The staff were helpful, attentive and friendly. They were happy to converse in English too (otherwise I would have only been able to order a croissant) #riviera #nice

PUB très sympa de la rue de la préfecture. Plein tous les soirs l été, il y a à vraiment une bonne ambiance le soir. Les jeunes dansent sur les tables du fond, toujours possibilité de rencontrer des gens sympas, de tous les horizons. Bières, nourriture correct.

Depuis plus d’une décennie la référence anglophone et rock de Nice: ambiance décontractée, bonne musique et bonne bouffe !
Vous entrez pour une bière et vous sortez avec le ventre plein de super-​burger (le big h, comme le burger végétarien sont à tomber par terre), après avoir dansé sur des tables, chanté comme des fous et avec plein de nouveaux potes.
Je répète: bonne cuisine (et pas que des burgers!), bonnes bières, très bon service, bons groupes qui jouent dans la salle et ambiance au top.
Pour moi la référence des nuits niçoises (mais j’avoue que je né suis pas très branché «nuit en vote d’azur» genre minimal house et «je me la pete»)!
A né pas rater !
Ps: la musique live est jusqu’à minuit, que des groupes de reprises des tubes, après Dj set avec musique commerciale, un peu de electro et hip-​hop (commerciales eux aussi)

Good food, good live music and they speak English!!! There was a live band playing the night we were there and they were excellent. The burger there were also very good!

très bonne soirée entre potes, groupe en live, bonne bière et quelques bon burgers, le services est agréable et rapide, les tarifs sont abordable.
le cadre est sympas, en fin de soirée ça bouge un peu plus.
carte bleue accepté a partir de 20 €.

An english pub is something hard to find in some places. One of these is Cote d’azur. Plenty of boulangeries and cocktail bars but no good english pubs. Neither half of it. And then we found wayne’s! the two of us just arrived in Nice and wanted something easy, just to spend a couple of hours. An english pub would have been perfect just a burger to share and we would have been done. Staying at a hotel next to the Vieux Nice, it seemed logical to come here! From the outside, nice atmosphere, good music, and good food (at least from what you can see on the other tables!)
We had a couple of dishes, a leek soup and a burger, easy stuff, nothing fancy. Now, the soup was good and solid, but I asked for a rare burger… what I received was a cold burger, with the meat still raw and stone cold in the middle. Now that’s not what you call a rare burger! I love the fact they cook you something less than medium, but I want my meat still hot!
In the end… well maybe it was just a bad shot, but the place is nice, and today I’m feeling generous, hence 3 stars for you… but just for now! if I receive another time a cold burger your rating is going down to hell!

J’y étais un vendredi soir au mois d’août, et j’ai aimé l’ambiance. Le bar contient une partie pour boire une bière et une petite salle en bas (là où tout ce passé;)) où ça danse sur les tables, majoritairement des touristes. Un groupe jouait des morceaux rock, punk… assez mélangés en genre et en ancienneté.
Il faudra prévoir des vêtements plutôt légers parce qu’il fait très chaud à l’intérieur !

Deuxième fois que je mets les pieds au Wayne’s. Le chéri étant un adepte des lieux (le genre à taper la bise au gérant et aux serveurs) c’est devenu pour moi un passage obligatoire lorsque je me retrouve à Nice.
Dès l’entrée, le ton est donné: musique à fond (j’émets là un bémol, il est compliqué de s’entendre parler…), odeur de gras (mmmh du graaaas) et bière coulant à flots.
Qu’on soit bien d’accord, le Wayne’s n’est VRAIMENT PAS l’endroit idéal pour s’immerger dans le quotidien des niçois. Ici, ça parle presque exclusivement anglais. Et, pour cause, la clientèle vient d’outré-manche, d’outré-atlantique et d’Océanie. Idem pour les serveurs (au passage, un gros coup de coeur pour Sarah, mignonne serveuse très sympathique et souriante !).
Côté nourriture, comment dire… Je me surprends parfois à rêver de leurs mozzarella sticks et du burger végétarien. Un pur délice, pour pas moins de 3000 calories la bouchée.
Mais qu’importe, tout ce gras sera éliminé dans l’heure sur la piste de danse, à savoir les tables, converties en dancefloor pour l’occasion (et là, la chanson de Patoche «Les sardines» prend tout son sens. Aaah qu’est ce qu’on est serrés…)
Le tout sur une musique mi-​commerciale mi-​rock-​pop-​punk, tantôt jouée par un groupe live, tantôt jouée par un DJ.

La cuisine y est très bonne et le prix est très correct ! Les burgers sont de bonne qualité.
Le personnel est pratiquement constitué que d’anglais.

The reviews on Wayne’s are all pretty spot on, not much to add. Almost everyone at the bar speaks English and is a tourist from Ireland, England, or America. This is definitely a good spot to watch games — we came here to watch the Brazil and Mexico World Cup games and it was pretty fun. If you are coming for a game, be sure to come a little early to grab a table… the place fills up very quickly and standing the whole time isn’t really the move. Food is decent, got a burger and fries and both were pretty good, although a bit overpriced. Considering there is tons of cheap wine in France I was little annoyed to have to pay 22 euros for their cheapest bottle of white but it wasn’t huge deal.
All in all I’d definitely come again to watch games, may even come back tonight to watch France play Ecuador! Just don’t expect too much. Typical divey sports bar (albeit a little over priced) that can be fun and trashy all at the same time.

The most popular pub in Nice. Great music nights, sport broadcasts, really nice atmosphere inside. Also the menu is a typical pub food, burgers, chips, so there is no way you can get hungry there.

Tout le monde me parlait de ce pub, comme étant incontournable, mais là j’avoue j’ai pas compris ! 20 min pour qu’on prenne ma commande avec un serveur qui captait rien au français, et une fois mon rosé servi, impossible d’en profiter tellement c’était blindé ! Victime de son succès :/​Bref, la prochaine fois que je veux danser et accessoirement respirer, j’évite !

Klar gibt es besseres, aber der Burger und die Pommes waren gut. Die Bedienung war eher typisch amerikanisch gut. Sehr freundlich, bemüht, aufmerksam und immer ein Lächeln.
Im hinteren Bereich wirds dann richtig eng. Auf der sehr kleinen Bühne spielte eine Drei-​Mann-​Band rockiges. es ist eng. Die Klimaanlage schafft ein gutes Klima auf zwei Quadratmetern. Im restliche Raum ist es wie in einer Sauna, nur, dass man hier voll bekleidet ist. Man schwitzt somit unglaublich. Trotzdem war es sehr gut um unsere Stimmung bestellt.

This is a great place to take a load off, have a beer or snack, feel free to speak English and use the internet.

Maybe a one off experience but I really thought Wayne’s sucked the big one. As we walked by there during a walking tour our guide said that we could go there and dance on tables. So I figured why not. Showed up here around 11 which was entirely too late. There are no locals here and drinks are grossly overpriced for the type of place this is.
It was like ten thousand fuckin degrees in there. The worst part was that they had an AC unit but it was either off or not working. Everybody there is on tables and I mean everyone. The sound system sucks and they play top 40 and repeated songs.
Some people I talked to swear by this place. I am used to dancing on tables and chairs but normally we are paying thousands of dollars to do so. It is definitely an interesting experience.

This is definitely not a place for the local experience. Tons of tourists (myself included, sadly). And since they don’t have much going for them, they have this gimmick that you can dance on the tables. Talk about unsafe!!! They did have live music, but that’s not saying much…

This is a well known spot on the vieux ville doorstep right next to the Palais du justice. Kind of ironic, as it is a load and busy pub in the summer months, and people spill out into the Rue prefecture nearly the entire night.
The place does have food, and lot’s of beer of course. They typically have live music in the summer, and the people tend to be very international (tourists).

En pleine vielle ville mais pas loin de Massena et de la Prom’, le pub Wayne’s est assurément un lieu où se rendre obligatoirement sur Nissa, pas pour la socca mais pour ses burgers et sa déco, de plus c’est mine de rien une véritable enclave anglaise, vous pouvez assister à des concerts et mater le sport à la télé tout en discutant avec le personnel international.

Un endroit qui me correspond à tous les point ! Une clientèle anglaise ! Des bières anglaises !
C’est un endroit ou il y fait bon vivre et puis surtout on peut y boire un Magners bien frais !

une institution depuis des années, à proximité du palais de justice et de la promenade. Vieux Nice.
Happy hours, un endroit particulièrement international. 2% doit être le taux moyen des francophone.
Régulièrement des petits concerts (grande qualité des musicos), et une guiness servie comme au pays du trèfle.
Agréable point d echute pour l’apéro et la seconde partie de soirée.

Karaoké en live le dimanche
Si un dimanche soir vous né savez pas quoi faire, aller au Wayne’s, mais n’arrivez pas trop tard que le pub est vite plein à craquer… tout le monde veut assister ou participer au karaoké en live ! Ambiance garantie même si on né comprend pas toujours les blagues du présentateur qui né parle qu’en anglais. En fait tout le pub né parle qu’anglais, la dernière fois que j’y suis allée on devait être une 10aine de frenchies seulement… alors on né pige pas toujours tout mais on passé une super soirée.

Sympa en terrasse la journée, beaucoup de monde a l’intérieur le soir. Ambiance sympa.

Super ambiance
J’aime beaucoup l’ambiance de ce pub, je crois bien que je n’y ai passé que des bonnes soirées… Un bémol cependant: le vestiaire payant et obligatoire en fin de semaine et le week-​end.

Die Bedienung war der Hammer, puppenlustig und trotz Vollstress immernoch höflich und alles-​im-​Griff-​habend.
Preise waren durchschnittlich normal für Nizza und Getränke-​/​Essensangebot waren ausreichend. Ich hatte einen mega leckeren Burger… Leute, die Soße war ein Traum! :-)
Also: das nächste Mal Nizza heißt: ab ins Waynes!!!

Le Wayne’s c’est un pub avec deux ambiances en fonction de l’heure où vous arrivez …
La journée et jusqu’à la fin des happy hours (17h-​20h) c’est un pub plutôt tranquille ou vous pouvez manger une cuisine simple et efficace (burgers, salades, fish&chips, etc …)
et voir un match sur l’écran géant.
Passé une certaine heure c’est musique live et tout le monde sur les tables!
Une ambiance pub authentique … tous les serveurs (et une bonne partie des clients) sont Anglais/​Autraliens.
Un classique du vieux Nice, que ce soit pour manger un morceau ou bien faire la fête.

Where should we go out in Nice? Everyone said, «it depends what you are looking for», and I now understand what they meant! If you are looking for getting drowned in beer, dancing on tables and Norweigens with implants, then come along. If you want a real French bar, definitely don’t.

Die Waynes Bar befindet sich mitten in der Altstadt von Nizza direkt neben dem Palais de Justice.
Sie ist eine tolle Location und zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass man ab circa 23 Uhr auf den Tischen tanzen kann ;). Dafür räumen die Kellner extra die Tische frei und schieben sie zusammen. Die Kellner sind locker drauf und kommen zum grössten Teil aus England oder USA. Die Waynes Bar ist stets sehr gut gefüllt und die Live Musik ist der Hammer. Das tolle ist ausserdem, dass der Raum abgetrennt ist, im vorderen Bereich kann mich sich an die Tische setzen, etwas trinken und sich unterhalten und im hinteren Bereich wird dann Party gemacht.

I found it so strange to be in France, where English is definitely not the first language, and then we ran into this bar, where I have to say was the only place we felt confident enough to order a drink but it is in the middle of the old town of France and the most non-​French place I could imagine.
I mean, the guy who served us was Aussie, and the whole place was like a big culture exchange. There was food, live bands to listen to, and live sport to watch. It was such a fun place — why not?!
Supposedly it gets to a stage where everyone’s on the tables dancing but we didn’t stay that long cos the smoke was getting to us and we had an early start the next morning!

Hot Nights in Nice
Wayne´s is the best place to be in Nice if you look for hot guys from all over the world (esp. bar-​staff…), «table-​dancing», good live music, delicious food and drinks AND great party ambiance… We were in Nice for one year (2001 – 2002) and the Wayne´s was nearly our second home… We really get homesick when we think about our time there. One little problem: In the summertime it´s sometimes TOO crowded. Go and try it on your own, and see that we are right… GROS BISOUS

Its (horrifically) 11 years ago that me and my wife spent many a drunken night in Wayne’s and I can guarantee he is a terrific bloke who will make sure the beer and entertainment are top class. Only reason I’ve not been back EVERY year is the price of children… they’re expensive aren’t they! To any Oz, USA, Canada, Brit, tourist/​backpacker, I’d say… get to Waynes… NOW.

keepin’ it up all year
I’ve spent 4 summers in and out of the bar & recently when moved to Nice go there quite often. It’s the only place in the French Riviera where the ambience is kept all year. The food is great, not to mention the drinks, & the guys who work there are quite friendly as well. Finally the place to be if you’re a pub crawling kinds party person. By the way, Fat Cat was there a while ago again.

Time of My Life!
I spent a year in Nice in ’92−93 with a bunch of other Canadian students and Chez Wayne was definitely the highlight! Terry, Martin, Frank, Domenic… the best waiters/​bartenders ever! A must for any visitor to Nice… I’m getting misty just thinking of it! Is FAT CAT still there?

Debauchery
I used to work at this fine establishment some 4 – 5 years ago behind the bar (those were the days of Frank, Mike, and that big-​ass bouncer!!). In any case, if Wayne’s hasn’t changed it’s attitude, and if your looking for a great party in Nice this is the place. The summer beach parties were a blast, the crowds were always excellent, many nights of debauchery. I recall on more than one occasion not being able to make work the next night due to some wicked hangovers. Dancing on the tables every night, great music, great fun, plenty o’ beer!
