It is normally said that beach restaurants are tourist traps, but this defies that stereotype. The Lido Plage has great food, great drinks and great service. The white wine and garlic mussels are awesome, the filet mignon was terrific and reasonable in price, the bandol wine was so good by the glass that we ordered a bottle, and the molten chocolate lava cake dessert has fresh berries and ice cream. Charlie is the best server there, but his buddy Dominic was great as well. This place is great to go for great products and reasonable beach view prices.

Very bad service. There was only one waiter. He promised he would be back but we were abandoned. There plan is to show you the nice menu to get you down the stairs to the restaurant. DON’T GO !!! That is the trap. After +30 minutes we got up and left

Lido Plage refers both to the section of the Nice beach AND the restaurant/bar situated on this rocky plot of land. Like all the beaches in Nice, there is no sand, only amazing white and grey rocks of varying sizes — picturesque, curious, and utterly painful to walk on barefoot! Aside from the unchanging elements of Mother Nature, however, this restaurant/bar/dance club is an absolute delight. Grab a chair, chaise or lounger and order a drink. Sip languidly while absorbing the gorgeous blue ocean, the azure sky and the buzz of the Riviera. Somehow, here, you feel sheltered from the ugliness of the real world and part of something tranquil and beautiful. I overheard multiple conversations around me during the hours we spent here between tourists who were trying to squeeze in a few magic moments at Lido Plage before heading to the airport and back to reality. All parties bemoaned the injustice of having to cut short their holidays. It’s just that type of place. Service is hit-or-miss depending on your server, and be sure to flag down someone in order to pay. Being handed the bill(or being asked for a second round unprompted) appears not to be customary in many places down here. The emphasis is on laissez-faire. I suppose that’s both good and bad. Take it for what it’s worth, sit back and drift off into a reverie. That’s what the best voyeurism is about.

I have gone out salsa dancing all over the world but this place is one of my favorites. What can be better than dancing outside on the beach in Nice with gorgeous sunsets in the distance and the warm summer breeze passing through. Since this place is right on the beach, there are always crowds up above on the promenade stopping by. The deck itself is small but never gets obnoxiously crowded and while the crowds can be hit or miss in terms of fun dance partners, it is always worth a visit. Did I mention this place is free?

Very nice service and location! 15 € for one bed and 5 € for an umbrella. It’s only a tad cheaper than the two next to it. We chose not to order food it was pretty pricey.

c’est une des rares plages ouvertes en dehors de la saison estivale, dès qu’il y a un rayon de soleil, c’est très agréable de boire un verre sur la plage en cette fin d’année

Beachfront dining property right underneath the Avenue Anglais carriageway. Who knew. The manager ran the entire show and seems to be friendly to both locals and visitors alike. Diners are seated on the patio level while guests stopping for drinks can opt for the recliners out on the beach. The frito misto, an often frowned-upon dish known for employing near-expired seafood bits, was surprisingly delicious and hearty. Whole fillets of salmon and cod laid on a bed of calamari, none of which tasted previously frozen to me. The medium-rare entrecôte(ribeye) was slightly over done, had more than its fair share of stringy tendons but in all not too problematic.
