Very nice market-​driven restaurant. Very good ratio quality-​price. Very friendly service — would be great for lunch or dinner. We enjoyed the salmon smoked in house with waffles, duck, beef and fish! All good quality.

J’ai testé le Bistrot Chaud Vin un midi. J’aurais préféré en profiter un soir mais c’était bien sympa aussi.
Le restaurant propose une cuisine bistronomique, simple et de qualité. Vous retrouverez aussi des spécialités de la région.
J’aime l’esprit bistrot des lieux. Un cadre charmant et cosy. Le service est agréable et dynamique.
A l’ardoise: 6 entrées (ex: beignet de poutine de pêche locale 12 €, 7 plats (ex: magret de canard sauce noix, pommes de terre gratinées au reblochon et lard, 19 €) et 6 desserts (ex: île flottante à la lavande, 6 €).
Je me suis régalée avec mon plat: raviolis aux asperges et bresaola (21 €) et un bon verre de vin blanc. Belle surprise ! C’est le type de lunch que j’adore ;) Les plats sont préparés avec des produits frais et de saison. Ce que je recherché avant tout c’est le petit truc en plus et je trouve que le Chaud Vin y répond parfaitement avec un bon rapport qualité/​prix.
A savoir: Entrée + Plat ou Plat + dessert 15 € (le midi, sauf le week-​end).
Une adresse à noter pour un déjeuner pro ou une soirée entre amis !

Anything you try here will probably be good. They have a nice wine list as well.
They don’t have a printed menu, only a chalkboard. They also have an English one if you ask. You can walk in before 8pm, but after that the place gets packed, so best make a reservation.

Oui oui et oui pour ce bistrot du centre ville. Proposition de formule à 19 euros le midi avec entrée plat ou plat dessert. Tous les plats sont excellents, mention spéciale pour les carpaccio de lieu particulièrement bien assaisonnés. Le baba au rhum est très gourmand et satisfera les amateurs. Service très agréable. Une belle découverte. L’ambiance de ce bistrot est chaleureuse. Le personnel est accueillant, la cuisine excellente. J’ai adoré leur saumon fumé maison. Leurs desserts sont assez inventifs. Une bonne adresse pour un dîner en famille ou entre amis.

Very good starter (home smoked magret de canard) and great plates! Just the wine (a provence red i cannot remember) was not at the same level of the meal. The menu is quite wide and interesting.

Luckily our last dinner in France turned out to be our best meal.
No printed menus, just a daily chalkboard of the day’s offering.
No outdoor dining = No smokers… YES!!!
No guy standing outside hollering at people to come in.
Wife and I barely got in because we didn’t have a reservation, so I recommend you do so. The hard working staff was friendly in this clean, elegant, and romantic setting.
€ 8 Fleurs de Courgettes… deep fried zuchinni, unique!
€ 9 Rilettes Landaises… some sort of twist on pork pâté, fabulous!
€ 22 Onglet de Boeuf… steak, very good!
€ 24 Cabillaud Roti… Roasted Cod, very good!
€ 17 500ml bottle of Chauteau Bos wine… very good!
€ 7 Salad Peches… fresh peach dessert, very good!
€ 7 Ile Flottante Lavende…“Floating Island Lavender” the most amazing non-​chocolate dessert on the planet. I’d go back here just to order this dessert again.
€ 94/​$ 122 bill was also our most expensive dinner tab in a long time… but it was well worth it and a perfect finale our 2 week trip!

Amazing food!!! The best food I had during a week in Nice! All the dishes we had were good, but I especially recommend the duck! Mmmm. Bön apetit! :D
