I met the coolest people here and I have to owe it to the smart planning on the staff at Antares Hostel. They host spaghetti nights (wine, popcorn, and spaghetti) for a very cheap price and they have free wine nights. I’m sure they have more but I was only there for 2 nights and with these events we met so many cool travelers! The downstairs area is a really cool place to mingle, play cards, and drink. Also, the location is right on the main strip and only a 15 minute walk to the beach. BINGO!

For the money, this was a great choice. The room was clean, the front desk folks were helpful, and it’s in a great location. Plus the spaghetti dinner was a lot of fun too. One qualm, however: My bed didn’t have a cage lock underneath it, so I didn’t have a place to stow my belongings. Fortunately my roommates were very nice people, and I could tell I could trust them. Nonetheless, it would have made things easier to have an actual place for my bags.
