Ladurée

My parents bought some during their trip in Paris and brought them home so I didn’t get to try them when they were fresh. Their macarons to be honest didn’t taste any better than ones I’ve tried in the US. The flavors I liked were Vanilla, Pistachio, and this chocolate flavor one. For the chocolate one its the one that kind of looks like a chocolate chip cookie and it was really good. There was only one in the assortment my parents got, but I would have really liked to have more of that one.

This was an interesting experience, I had walked past this place on multiple occasions during my visit to Paris but was always a little taken aback from their prices (this is why I took off a star, this is a pricey place and I am still not sure if the product was really worth the price).
The shop itself is tiny and powder blue, very cute and sweet located in terminal 2A near the Starbucks.
The boxes that the macaroons are gifted in are perfect and absolutely adorable, a really great gift for anyone; including yourself! I got the big vanilla macaroon which was around five euros, that is about 7.50 Canadian. Yupp. I said it was expensive but the macaroon was amazing! It was crunchy on the outside and soft, sweet and creamy on the inside. I was in vanilla bean heaven!
The only reason I decided to indulge in these delicious delights was because I had some extra euros left over and was heading home. I would indulge again and like I said, wonderful gift ideas but I stand by what I said previously; expensive.

Thought we would get one last taste of macaroons in the Paris airport before we left. The ones here, first thing in the morning, were unfortunately stale already…

I love this place so much and happy to find one in airport on my way home. However, the quality is little lower than a regular shop in Paris.
I still love their caramel macaroon and I am happy that it is little cheaper than in Paris but it is not the same.
Great idea to get gift box for your friends, their decorated boxes always look super high end.
