Appart’City Bobigny

In late February and early March of 2015, I was booked into Appart City Bobigny with a large group. After seeing the accommodations, many of our party chose to leave, paying for different lodging out of their own pocket. Bobigny is about an hour by metro from the heart of Paris.
This apartment hotel has very uneven accommodations and service. The rooms, which include a small kitchen, are not all furnished equally. Most televisions do not work. If the television works, then the remote does not work. Some units have microwaves while other do not. Some units have a dishwasher, while others do not. Dishes are furnished.
My understanding of the maid service was that the towels would be changed daily, the toilet paper refreshed and the trash emptied. I suffered for days and days without this service and ended up having to purchase my own toilet paper at the grocery. My trash ended up out in the hall, as it began to smell. Also, the elevators were often out of order or not functioning properly. To go from the 5^th floor to the 10^th floor, the elevator insists on returning the rider to the 1^st floor, which can be so irritating.
The doors to the rooms do not lock automatically. They must be locked manually, using the key card. It is a huge nuisance. There are no safety locks on the inside part of the doors. I was staying at Appart City with a large group. My daughter and her boyfriend were robbed of his laptop and both their cell phones while they slept, but they had forgotten to lock their door. Another member of our group was surprised from sleep by a stranger who had entered his room.
There are not many restaurants or much shopping near this facility. There is one Asian restaurant next door, serving a buffet and sushi with a variety of items. There is a grocery store that is about a 4 block walk away. We were told that the metro was a 12 minutes walk, but people in Bobigny must walk much faster than I walk. It was more like a 20 minute walk. Members of our party were advised by some taxi drivers not to use that metro station after dark (Bobigny-​Pablo Picasso). We, however, used it every night without incident.
I would not stay at this place again, even though the rates were extremely reasonable.
