Good tapas at bar. Also food inside restaurant is great. Sad that something is missing since restaurant has changed ownership. Saladbar has gone down but you can still get a bite of something not so common, Rocky Mountain Oysters. Also try horse, it is delicious.

Sehr gemütlich mit kleinen Nischen, wo man sich gut und relativ ungestört unterhalten kann. Das Essen ist hier ausgezeichnet. Kleines Salatbuffet. Das Steak war vorzüglich und auch an der Bedienung gab es nichts zu meckern. Vom Bahnhof ist die Bodega nur ein paar Schritte entfert. Das ist sicherlich eines der besseren Restaurants in Tampere, aber angenehm. Für Geschäftsessen geeignet ohne abgehoben zu sein.

On advise of my contact at the office I was pointed to Salud. for 30 years Salud has been in Tampere pionering mediteranian food in the cold north.
The bodega Salud is a very cosy place and offers some specialities like gnu steak and pepersteak (200 or 300g) that should not be missed. After ordering you can get to the salad buffet to start your appetite and after dinner there is cheese and fruit to finish.
The prices are a bit higher then average but the atmosphere and food is worth it.
There is also the possibilty in one section of the bodega to go for Tapas which I did not try.
