Best sushi in Helsinki. Only open for lunch — so it’s my go-to lunch place whenever I have a day off.

Easily the best sushi in Helsinki. It’s not even funny how good it is. Fresh ingredients cut to perfection and combined into sushi pieces filled with flavour.

Superb cold water fish from Finland made by master sushi chef from Japan. Only open for lunch and be prepared to wait but it’s well worth it. Thanks for taking us here Clarence

If you want sushi, especially the real thing this is your place. This chef is pretty incredible at what he does. It’s not a fancy restaurant but very clean and pleasant. There are 2 tables maybe enough for 4 at one and 3 at the other but the sushi OMG! I had the omakase which is the chef’s selection for 19 €. After the first bite I knew that I needed more. So after those 12 pieces or so I order the Saba(mackerel) slightly charred glissining from the natural oils with just a bit of salt on top, I wasn’t disappointed at all. I could’ve spent the entire afternoon there gorging myself. This place is like finding a jewel here in Helsinki! The owners are Japanese and very nice humble people. I will most definitely come back whenever I’m here which will be next month actually. I look forward to my next experience here. When the sushi is great it leaves you feeling happy and this most certainly did!

Excellent place with Japanese owners. Small and cozy. It probably wont take your hunger away if you’re really super hungry, but the quality of sushi is sooo good.

«Seriosly Good Sushi» Not so big place but most of japanese people recommend Sushi Wagocoro. When you get in you feel like you are in Japan, you can hear the people talking in japanese. All the fish are really fresh and my favorite one is Marinated Shimesaba. Sometimes you can get Hotate(another menu on the wall) or you can ask from the chef what kinf of fish do they recommend today :) Just forget the sushi-buffet in Helsinki. Minus thing that they close on the weekends and weekdays really early at 18 pm :’(But if it’s special-day like father’s day, easter, then on sunday they are open sometimes. If you want some exciting, weird taste from Wagocoro then probably wasabi-maki or natto-maki is for you.

Sushi wagocoro is one of those wonderful recent contributions to the finnish culinary landscape that makes eating out in Helsinki worthwhile! It’s one of the best restaurants in Helsinki, and Sushi wagocoro is certainly THE best place in Helsinki to have sushi! Despite having tried sushi in New York and Tokyo, I can surprisingly say that crave that Sushi wagocoro taste… it’s the best sushi I’ve eaten! The rice is perfect, the fish is fresh, the specials are interesting, and the service is authentic. I love it!
