The ambience was good. Kind of old style and warm. But the food was kind of a letdown as the prices here are a bit steeper than the other places that serve similar food. I had ordered a risotto with mushrooms and it was really not anything fancy. Could be my taste palate or just the way it was made! The bread was soft & tasty, though. My husband’s food was better. He had asked for some chicken breast with goat cheese and pureed beetroot or something like that. It was good to taste. Quantity was good too.

Chicken curry very good and the bread also I like it. Something different bread. Not easy to found like this comfortable restaurant around. I recommended this place

We had two pizzas and they were okay at best but with 16e price tag, it was a big let down. It tasted like something you would get from ABC gas station or from Kotipizza. So if you are thinking about going for a pizza try some place else, there are plenty of good ones in Helsinki and this is definitely not one of those.
TL;DR: expensive and not that good, don’t go.

Lazy service, we waited some ~15 minutes without anyone coming to take order or clean the table.

I decided to invite my friends to this restaurant and so i booked a table there one week before.
When we arrived we were taken to our table and there was already some bread with different oils and spices.
The ordering process went okay and also the waiting period to get the food was pretty decent. It was not super quick but not too long either.
I ordered some chicken pasta with bacon which was good. I dont know if it was anything special as it was just the type of pasta you can easily cook at home.
However my friends said the ham pizza was really good !
When we requested the bill, it just took too long.
The staff were just walking around and talking between them and seemed to forget we needed to pay after we had requested it already and there was not many people left at the restaurant.
It simply took too long.
Place is super classy and old school looking in the inside, really pretty !

Okay, I don’t say that it’s like that every time because I don’t know… But my first time here and we have been waiting for the main course 1 hour and 40 minutes after asking what’s wrong… And finally, the salmon came… Not cooked… But the risotto was good and the wine as well! Let’s stay positive but really… If you don’t want to waist you time… Don’t go there. There’s plainty of other restaurants in Helsinki and they are good!

This was a spacious and comfortable space. The ambience was good. We arrived for dinner, before it got crowded. The menu looked like it had good choices. Each if us liked our meals. They brought us bread and water right away. The bread was cold. It was soft and tasty, but I think it should have been warm. The wait for the food was rather long. I ordered bruschetta but was underwhelmed by it. The bread tasted toasted to death and hard as a tombstone. I did not taste any garlic on it. That was disappointing. My meal was very good and the portion was sufficient. It felt like a lot because it was so dense. I got a tasty bacon chicken pasta. The chicken bits were tender and good. My friend who ordered the salmon was disappointed at the size. It looked gorgeous but was not filling enough. My friend got the pizza with shrimp and fish on it or something. It was a nice size and she enjoyed it. Our other friend got the chicken linguini. The portion looked decent and she liked it. We had tea/​coffee and dessert. I don’t believe there was anything special about the beverages, just regular Finnish coffee and Lipton tea from a bag. The dessert was a nice and rich walnut gelato with figs and an espresso syrup. As the evening progressed the crowd got larger. People were having a good time. The staff were very nice. I would definitely eat here again but, perhaps I’ll try a soup starter and avoid the bread. So, it had a classic menu, good food, decent prices, nice atmosphere, clean surroundings, and friendly staff. English and Finnish spoken.
