We had reindeer burgers and where disappointed. The food weren’t cooked properly and my GF had to send it back to the kitchen because the bacon weren’t done. It had a relaxing atmosphere and a good selection of beer.

Nice place, but bad service Haven’t tasted the food but it looks delicious The waiter/bartender seemed annoyed that we where here and asked questions(of interest) of the local beers — we actually just wanted to get out of there because of the waiter — I don’t think that the staff is generally like this, he might have had a bad day Pay the place a visit and give the waiter a good experience, so he can have many goo days from now on

This place is alright. It feels like more of a tourist place because of it’s location. The burger was good, but not even close to some of the best ones i’ve had though. The real issue I had with the place was the service!!! Holy. cow. It was bad. They said we had to wait over an hour to get our food! Since it was late(and It would take us longer to find a new place) we decided to just sit there paying for their overpriced beer and wine. Another reason I was somewhat annoyed was that I was treated like crap the second we walked in the door! When we first came in I asked the person behind the bar if they spoke english. She said«yes» so then I asked if we should«wait to be seated and get menu’s» or if we should«just seat ourselves» and then she just turned around and ignored me. I just stood there staring at her back with my mouth hanging open until another person came over to help. lastly, one other issue I had was the temperature. It was absolutely freezing upstairs! I had to put on my big puffy coat inside because they had a «door man» that insisted on keeping both doors open for long periods of time in freezing weather. Not cool(pun intended!) So, in other words… if your a hungry tourist who’s feet hurt and are starving… plan to go somewhere else. Otherwise, you’ll get trapped into waiting an hour and a half for food, get crappy service and then rack up your bill on overpriced alcohol. If you do really want to try this place out… I suggest having patience, come before your starving and then going to the downstairs part.

This was a quite good burger. I’m a bit spoiled with great burgers, but this was good. Served on a stone plate with knife and fork, and they asked if I wanted it medium or well, and it was a perfect medium. However, as with so many other nice burger places its too much focus on the meat and less on the dressing and type of cucumber — none. This place is made for hangouts, with board games and couches(or tables), perfect for an evening with friends. To fit into this focus the price of beer has to be lower. 7 € for a normal beer is too much for hangouts. The place is big, and nice. The staff was not as good on recommending stuff, they went strictly on the menu. I’m not interested in the menu, I just said I want THE burger. With cheese, without bacon, please. «But which burger? this one might be good for you?» and the waiter pointed at something in the menu. When I want THE burger, its probably not on the menu. ;) Still, it is good burgers. I like good burgers. As Arnold would have said, «I’ll be back!»

I had a couple drinks here with a few friends to start a Friday night. It was my first visit to this S-Group place. Yea, the brew selection is pretty good — both domestics and imports. I had a CAP Great White Hype IPA from the tap — that’s a Swedish brewery. I enjoyed it – not too fruity, and hoppy enough. Then a bottled Stadin Panimo American Lager. But seriously, the prices. 9.50EUR for half liter IPA draft? OK it’s an import so maybe. But 9EUR for a domestic bottle I can get off the shelf at any Finnish grocery store(4.5% ABV)? Huh? Ridiculous. Judging from the other reviews and advertised lunch specials, I gotta come back here for lunch sometime for a burger — maybe the place will make a better impression on me.

Actually pretty good lunch burgers. Not too big set of French fries but just good for lunch I guess.

As someone who likes good burgers and good beers, I can definitively recommend the place. The place is somewhere dark, yet quite comfortable on both floors(though, I prefer the bottom floor as the couches are great). They have a rock n’ roll type of music selection, ranging from hard rock, to classic rock or even metal. Yet, not too loud as to allow for conversation without problems. The selection of beers is great, having some great beers both on tap and in bottle, and even a system to vote for which beers will be on tap. But, the main things here are the amazing burgers they have. For a very decent price, and definitively worth every cent, every burger on this place has proven to be delicious and gratifying. I just love the place!

Burgers are great, but the service is really slow, even when the place is only half full

Stone’s, located in one of the side streets of Aleksanterinkatu, is a nice cozy place with dark interior that has more to offer then what meets the eye at the first glance. On two levels you can relax in comfortable booths or at small tables. They offer a wide selection of beer some of which I bet you’ve never heard of before. Ask the waiter to have a try before you decide on a beer. The screens in the pub might also help you with your decision. They monitor the beers consumption there so you know exactly what the most popular draught of the day is. Hungry? No problem. They also serve food. Get a snack like the tasty beer bacon meatballs for reasonable prices. You can save some money with your S-bonus card here since Stone’s belongs to the S-group. Like in most of the Finnish pubs they also have a big selection of board games. So go downstairs and play a round of Kimble with your friends. Btw. they also have special offers for members. Ask at the bar for the memebership card.
