«Mmm, this *is* a tasty burger!» — Samuel L. Jackson as Jules Winnfield in Pulp Fiction I happened to be in the Ruoholahti shopping center with my kid and needed to grab a late lunch. Unilocal told me this burger place was in the building, so we headed up to the ground floor. Ordering was easy — kid’s burger for the little one, lunch special for me. I reckon they rotate what burger goes on special — I don’t recall the name of this particular one, but it had arugula and sun dried tomatoes. They have an extensive and customizable menu, but I took the easy route. The lunch special came with rosemary potato wedges. Crazy affordable. From the dining area you can see straight into the kitchen while the cook prepares the food. A steady stream of food left the kitchen, and we didn’t have to wait long for our order to arrive. The plates looked appetizing. The buns were tasty and toasted, the patty thick and formed by hand. My metric for burger deliciousness is how much grease runs down your forearm while you eat it. This sucker was juicy. I’ll put this as top 3 burger places in Finland, and my new Helsinki favorite! Gotta make it a habit to visit Ruoholahti more often so I can frequent this place.

Unexpectedly great burgers for lunch! The meat actually tastes like meat, and the house made sauces are tasty too. I’m definitely coming again!

In the entrance hall of Ruoholahti Kauppakeskus you find NYC Burger. And they serve exactly what you expect them to — delicious burgers. Choose for example the Harlem Burger with juicy meat, cheddar cheese, pickles, lettuce and sauce served in a burger bun that comes straight from the oven. Or just grab a paper at the counter and build your own dream burger. During lunch you get one changing burger with potato wedges for less than 10 €. Unfortunately you can’t see find their menu online so far. So just drop by and check it out yourself.
