A great thrift store in the center of Helsinki, and an easy walk from the train station. They had a good selection of stuff, knick knacks and clothing alike — even a few pieces of furniture in the back. It was pretty cheap for Finland. Still a lot more expensive than in the states, or in some other european countries, but it’s Helsinki! Everything’s expensive. Still, I found a nice vintage bathing suit for 12 euros, and a summer skirt for 7. That’s about 1⁄10th of what things cost in the department stores, so I’d call it a wonderful bargain, and a fun place to poke around in the afternoon.
