For an overflowing box full of fish n chips under 100 kr., this is the place to go. Everything is cooked after you order and the fish is incredibly fresh. They have a small bar or tables along the wall as well as ample seating outside available to anyone at the Glass Market. Perfect for a quick, filling lunch on the weekend.

Yes! So good! This was my first meal in Copenhagen. I got the fiskefrikadeller(fried fish cakes) with salad and Danish rye bread and it was delicious. It didn’t look like a ton of food for what I paid when I sat down to eat it(especially since I hadn’t eaten real food since I had left the US), but it was incredibly filling and awesome. Added bonus: the guys working the counter were pretty attractive. Wins all around ;) Oh I also had some sort of flower drink(comes in bottles), and I have no idea what the flavor was but it was also quite good. It was sort of like soda, but not as sugary. Get you some.

When I’m in the city center looking for some fast/street food this is my favourite place — ask for the fish n chips or their lobster soup. Be aware that this place is a favourite place for many so the line can be long and it can be difficult finding a seat inside Torvehallerne. But the food is worth the wait and you can usually find a seat outside in the sun. The fish n chips is typically served in a small bucket but if you inform them that your order is «to go» they give you a plastic tray that is easier to use :)

Fish and Chips is awesome there. If you ever had fish’n’chips in UK, you’ll say is to expensive here. Trust me, the quality is way beyond(my friend who lived in England for 6 years said we didn’t like it cause it’s too«clean»)! The cod was SO fresh and the potatoes hand slices in the house(or looked and tasted like the were). I cannot understand why it’s served in a noodle box, but it works fine! Only had to wait for 5 minutes until is was done and the guy behind the counter was super helpful and kind.

Best fish taco I’ve EVER had. The service was pleasant but slow and my order had to be redone. But I’d eat there again every lunch time if I could. For an American, the«taco» was really a burrito, the fish was fish-and-chips style battered and fried, but that was all fine, and the cabbage slaw was AMAZING.

The fish portion of the fish & chips were excellent. Crispy golden batter and buttery soft fish. Very generous portions. Really excellent. The remoulade and lemon tastes great with the fish. The chips were ok, but unfortunately cold and sad by the time I got to them. The tiny takeaway container they use means you can’t reach the chips until after you eat the fish. I learned afterwards that the trick is apparently to open up the container(as in rip it open) so that its flat and then you can reach both the fish and chips. Seems like it would be easier just to have plates…

I think the fish & chips are really overrated here! They are mostly batter. The thickness of the of batter was more than the fish. The batter was pretty boring too. The fries were pretty good but we all know that is NOT why you order fish & chips from a place. The fish you do encounter is pretty tasty after you shed some batter layers. Also it comes out really quickly and has a really cute presentation in a Chinese take out container. Love it.

my first time here was off to a rocky start. a friend had been telling me that there were fish tacos in copenhagen and i’d been craving them for weeks. when i asked for one, the girl working at the counter said she could not serve me one because they were out of cabbage. CABBAGE. i told her i really wanted this taco and would be happy to eat it with just fish. she held her ground but luckily a guy came over and said he would go get some more cabbage if i would wait a bit longer. it’s called service, lady! 20 minutes later i had a relatively expensive(65kr) ‘taco’ in my hands. it was more like a burrito, and it was wrapped in something more like lavash than tortilla. nitpicking aside, it makes a very nice lunch and tastes great. the pickled red cabbage and chili mayo goes well with the fish, which was perfectly moist inside and crispy outside. if you are looking for california-style fish tacos, you will be disappointed; so don’t get your hopes up. this is something else but it’s delicious.
