Nice food and good vibe. On the corner of one the entrances to the old Meatpacking District and among the first restaurants to open there. Still holds a high standard. Visit for a dinner on week nights!

Out with friends on a Saturday night looking for a good restaurant, we passed by Paté Paté and thought it looked very promising. The restaurant has a charming ambiance, and all of the staff are exceedingly friendly, so it’s a perfect place to spend an evening with friends We were served by a lovely Australian girl who was very helpful with making recommendations. We each chose three dishes. This was a bit too much food, it has to be said — two would have been enough to eat, but with three we did get to sample more of the brilliant food. I started with turbot accompanied by baba ganoush, crispy spicy sesame nuts and kale, which was a surprising but inspiring combo. My friends had fresh oysters served with a spicy chili honey dressing, which they declared to be the best they had ever tasted — despite not being an oyster fan, I had to order an oyster for myself to try, and I admit that it was delicious! My second course was pumpkin risotto with sage, hazelnuts and browned butter, and it was simply pure comfort food heaven. After having finished our second courses, we had to ask our waitress for a break, as we were to full to continue eating immidiately — this was no problem at all, and we were given ample time to chat and drink wine before being served more food. The third course was definitely worth saving up appetite for — I had spicy chicken livers with oven-baked tomatoes, and they were sublime. When I come back to CPH, I sincerely hope I have the opportunity to come back to Paté Paté!!!

We had a great meal here and it was easily one of the best meals I’ve had in Europe. Great wines, great food, great atmosphere.

Wow. I knew this place had a lot of hype and I wasn’t really sure what to expect. It’s down in the trendy meatpacking district. I sat at the bar, which I often prefer to do, and ordered some wine and small plates. Everything was incredible, really. The food was interesting, unusual, colorful, and flavorful. The staff was very friendly, full of ideas and recommendations, and really knew the food and wine very well. I would absolutely go back again and will recommend this place to anyone. The only drawback was that it was pretty noisy inside. Although they have some acoustic panels on the ceiling, the volume of the crowd was still quite a lot.

I like the lively ambiance of this restaurant In a popular section of town in the meatpacking district. I enjoyed the food very much. My favorite was the prawns with a saffron aioli and the panna cota with fresh raspberries and a maple rum sauce. My friend had the pork loin but was a bit dry. The salad with figs, pine nut, basil and goat cheese was superbly bright and fresh. Gazpacho was perfect.

It was really delicious! But everything is starter size, so they«recommend three dishes per person» which adds up. I came with 2 other friends, and we ended up sharing up to 1100 krones! So I would personally rate this $$$

We had a group of friends in town and made a reservation for 12 at patepate. We notified them at 5pm for an 830 reservation that we would only have 8 instead. When we arrived, we we’re told without advance notice by the manager that«I don’t check my email after 4 pm so you have to pay for 12 plates». We even offered to reduce the number of plates by 4 and compensate in alcohol so we would pay the same thing without wasting food… no deal. We ended up leaving because of the inflexibility. It made no sense to us. I imagine the food is good there but wouldn’t recommend making reservations for a big group. The manager has absolutely no sense for customer service. #moneyonthetable

We started off with a fun night but then all fun was over. We told the manager that we were less people than expected(and reserved) but he didn’t recognize that and said that he will deliver the full number of meals — which we obviously didn’t want to happen because we don’t want to waste food. Terrible customer orientation with no sense of common sense. #missedout

I’d heard good things about PatéPaté, so I thought it might be a good place to try, and the overall experience was positive. I agree with what other reviewers have written, the noise level is quite high, and that isn’t helped by their seating policy. We were seated across from each other at a long table with 4 seats on each side, and there was a couple on the seats right next to us, whereas the respective outside seats on each sides were empty for the entire duration of our meal. I thought that was kind of weird — why didn’t they seat us on the edge instead — even if they were waiting for more booked customers… They advertise all of their dishes to be starter-sized and recommend 3 per person. We had two each and were quite full afterwards, so full in fact that we decided to skip dessert. The food was delicious — my favorite was the grilled turbot with spinach in biryani curry and mixed mushrooms. Their menu is a bit all over the place — or, to put it positively — very interesting, with different influences. Exciting for sure. Their wine and beer selection is extensive; they have quite a few wines by the glass, which I vastly prefer over having to choose an entire bottle(can be a bit much for two). I had a Sauvignon Blanc, a natural wine, which was nice and fresh but kinda lacked that specific Sauvignon Blanc taste. The rosé they have by the glass was very nice. I’d love if they had a website where you can check the menu, as it seems to be changing extremely frequently. I just really like to browse restaurant menus beforehand and already pre-picking what I want. All in all, a very good experience, and I’ll definitely come again.

Very good food and good service. All plates were very fresh and the menu is updated regularly. Overall good, but not great. The price is a little bit much for the quality and quantity, in my opinion.

The biggest surprise while visiting Copenhagen, a burgeoning culinary center, was this restaurant. Located in a nouveau hip, formerly meat packing, area of the city, the establishment was peppered with seemingly youthful professionals. The low lighting made an intimate setting for diners to engage in conversation. We sat at the bar and I enjoyed the pâté, of course, and a glass of sparkling wine. This was not your conventional fatty pâté. It had more substance– more reminiscent of a meatloaf, for lack of a better comparison. Nonetheless, it delivered so much in flavor and texture that I was left wanting to lick the plate. The service was extra ordinary as the young woman at the bar kept my glass constantly filled. Pâté Pâté set the bar high for the rest of my trip to Copenhagen.

After being recommended by fellow Unilocalers, we decided to have dinner at Paté Paté while spending a weekend in Copenhagen. Just a few minutes walking from Rådhusplatsen is Copenhagens own version of New York’s meat packing district. Paté Paté lies in a simple and square one story building. We had a reservation and were immediately seated. We discovered that the menu and wine list were far from simple! Their concept is a few smaller dishes and they recommend three per person, which was what I ordered. I started with a potato pancake with sour cream, caviar and chantarelles. Except for the chantarelles it made me think of russian blini, but this was different and equally good — which means REALLY good. The next two courses were pumpkin risotto and pork with pumpkin and a kind of hommemade pesto, all of which were excellent! I wouldn’t have minded getting the risotto in a bowl to spoon it up on the same plate as the meat, as it was kind of much to have two large plates to eat from at the same time. The service vas quick, friendly, professional and I got a very good wine recommendation from the waitress. Even if Paté Paté seem to be popular with young people, the dinner audience was mixed from younger to older. I’m somewhere in-between and felt at home. It’s definitely worth another visit, but I will have to wait until next time I’m in Copenhagen.

Pâté Pâté is a tapas restaurant in the trendy meat packing district. It has a lot to live up to in this neighborhood with places such as Fiskebaren just around the corner! Now one cannot be naïve to the fact that you will be spending some hard earned money here but if me visiting this place 2 times in a 5 day stay in Copenhagen is an indication that the food is delicious, then I don’t know what is. The menu changes somewhat daily but as others have mentioned in research elsewhere, if the veal tartare happens to be on the menu, Order It! I would say the same for the oysters as I found them to be tasty, fresh well presented. On the weekends the service can be a little slower but then again the place is packed and who’s really in a hurry? Sit back, enjoy some Spanish beer or nice wines they have and take in the atmosphere and fun décor. Has a great social atmosphere as it is likely you can end up with shared tables if only a group of 2 or 3 which suits me well.

This was the first place we visited on our visit to Copenhagen — and we certainly weren’t disappointed! The food is almost tapas, in that you order lots of small dishes. However, what was nice was the way our waitress grouped the dishes and brought them — meaning that nothing was left to get cold as we worked our way through the plates. The highlight was the flap meat — not a term we were familiar with, but it turns out to be a cut of beef. It was served nice and pink, and we could have easily had another. Make sure you save room for dessert too, as they have a good selection. The only downside was that the wine was very expensive, even by Copenhagen standards.

There are a handful of times in my life where I have had a meal that resembles an intricate symphony– this restaurant gifted me with one of these meals. a light exposition to start: an Oyster(from Ireland with a dollop of chili-vinaigrette and a quick squeeze of lemon). Easily the best oyster I’ve tasted with an aftertaste that made my tongue sing! the development: creamy cauliflower soup w/roquefort, croutons & olive oil and a tender pork with a tasty aioli underbelly. Perfectly seasoned and delicious! recapitulation: white chocolate cheesecake topped with sweet raspberries. the perfect crescendo to an amazing meal.

I know I’m losing a decent amount of street credit only rating this Copenhagen’er favourite 2 stars. So here it goes: I really dislike the food! Every single time I’m here I get served something resembling what the cat dragged in. Eew! The last visit being no different as I got served a hideous risotto with overcooked mashed peas and something I couldn’t quite place what was. This is such a shame! In the early days, they had ready made tapas that you could indulge in at the counter — does days are long gone doing the place a great miscredit. The wine is good — but hey, Copenhagen is over-run with great wine joints so if it’s wine you’re after then I would recommend Fallernum, Bibendum, or Lundgren. So why the heck do I keep going back? My partner loooooves this place! He loves the food(he’s a big meat eater), the vibe, the décor, the WINE — well, all of it. So unfortunately, I would probably find my self going back sometime in the near future. Good thing the wine is good!

Read some reviews here on Unilocal and was a bit sceptical about going there due to the remarks about the staff being ignorant. But i was pleasantly surprised, service was good and I got a friendly Swedish waitress who recommended some dishes for me. After ordering it was served very fast including some white bread(which was quite bland). The quality of the food was excellent and the mushroom risotto tasted very nice. This place is known for it’s selection of wine, which I didn’t try, so I won’t comment on that. The beer was good though. ;) Venue was cozy, sturdy wooden tables and a long bar where you can sit and eat as well. Lit candles on the tables and just a great atmosphere. Sound levels were alright, not that much disturbance. Got to pay really fast too(hate waiting for the check). Recommended!

I could probably come up with a million reasons why Paté Paté is one of my fav places in CPH. First of all, like all the other restaurants in this«chain»(ie, Falernum, Adendum, etc), their motto is: For the Love of Food and Wine. When I first discovered this place, I can’t tell you how excited I was to read those beautiful words, faded on a chalkboard, in the late and chilly autumn of last year. «These are my people», I instantly thought. True story. The food is great. They offer a well thought-out, constantly changing menu that follows the seasons, a variety of different selections of French inspired staples, and that rustic environment that goes so well with comfort French food. They have a fantastic variety of wines from all over the world, most notably some excellent pinots from California, up and coming rustic reds from Chile, and a killer Rose from my home state(Washington): Charles & Charles. Obviously there are also plenty of French and Italian wines to chose from as well, if you prefer to stick with the classics. This place brings me back to my foodie and wino NYC roots in ways that no other place in Copenhagen has done yet. The hygge is pumping on Friday and Saturday [late] nights when they bring out DJs, and there is minimal, albeit strangely inviting, space for impromptu [chair] dance parties. Occasionally the crowd gets a little pretentious, which is slightly obnoxious, but to be expected and tolerated, as it undoubtedly goes with the Kødbyen territory. Overall, not to be missed.
