This fine South American restaurant is a hidden treasure for foodies. The interior is like no other restaurant while being original to souh american folklore. The service is very smooth and friendly, with attention to detail but not too serious while working. :) Most importantly, the dishes can be enjoyed like tapa’s or as full courses but they are each very finely made and a pleasure to savoye at ease. Do not forget to order one of the suggested cocktails which are also made with care and experience! Ignore the commercial area nearby and go for this hidden gem!

Loved the surrondings! For a minute I actually felt like I had travelled to South America. The food was nice — although nothing fancing. We had the tasting menu and i would recommend that. It’s nine dishes(small) in four servings and you pay 395, — kr. each which is a fair price. The waiters are very attentive and welcoming and they know the food they serve — which for me is important.

The service was warm and friendly and the ambiance was amazing. We loved the décor and the attention to detail and the Instagramable tiles however the food wasn’t great. Everything felt too salty and extremely underwhelming. This place might be better for drinks versus a sit down dinner.

This place was quite the surprise! I had wanted to try it for a long time because the menu sounded great and the bar looked cool. My boyfriend and I came here and tried the tasting menu and it was really great. They have a nice assortment of cocktails, and this really great homemade hot sauce that they serve at the table that you can actually buy!(We bought a bottle!) I really enjoyed the carnitas, grilled peppers and the corn salad. If you are looking for a good place with a casual atmosphere and nice a la carte menu, definitely pick Llama!

The décor is impressive and the restaurant looks appealing. I brought a group of 10 business associates and we had a good time. It’s trendy and hip — and that will be the end of positive appraisal. The food is somewhat pretentious but not very interesting — it is poor execution of a good idea. Too salty, too sour, too common. No surprises and the tastebuds were continuously disappointed — and the speed of service was appalling. The main dish arrived — long time after the starters, long enough that we were surprised to see more food. They had used the long time to complete overcook the duck, it tasted like I imagine the shoe that Charlie Chaplin devoured tasted. The restroom facilities were appalling. I don’t want to user kindergarten words in a review but it would be depicting of the cleanliness. Let’s just say I am fortunate to be able to stand up during the visit. Happy smiling waiters and waitresses of the kind with zero education and little or no knowledge of most dining concepts. When the time to pay came, they spent 15 minutes debating what we should pay. I wasn’t even involved — I just stood at the bar and waited while they took their discussion to the office. It turned out to be a lot more than the price they quoted when we called, but I just sighed and paid. And left. Good times, bad restaurant.

Dinner for a large group. Service was good — attentive but not overbearing. The appetizer roasted peppers were good as were the pork tacos. The ceviche was ok but had too much fruit for my taste. The scallop ceviche looked better than it tasted as it had done toppings which marked the taste. The duck confit was not really… More like dry roasted duck.

Very chic place and friendly service. Yes, Drinks are great but about $ 15 per cocktail. Food was good but really small portion. I suggest that you come here to enjoy the ambiance and drink. Really nice ambiance. Highly recommend for date night. You can ask for free chips but no complimentary bread. I am not a big fan of liquorice but it’s popular here and use it very well to make nice drinks.

A few good food items like the peppers and meatballs to start with. But I was not a fan of seafood, although my husband liked it, he might have been impressed with the scallop shells. The beef and the tomato corn salad were excellent! And the dessert was very good too. Good cocktails, not skimpy on the good liquor. The best thing is the atmosphere though, you really feel somewhere else.

Great place. Nice service and delicious food. The atmosphere inside is remarkably hygge. The waiters are all smiley and ready to make the venue such of a kind. The only«but» would be that the cocktails menu is not that long ;-)

Best food and service in Copenhagen I’ve had for a long time. Everything was extremely delicious with many unusual flavours. We shared all our dishes so that everybody could taste everything. Will definitely return. Anbefales!

The interior is quite dark which gives an intimate feel even though the space is open and big. Food was very good although some reminded me of what you can get from a food truck. Margarita was okay but not strong enough. Overall we had a good evening — good food and good service. I am just somehow left with the feeling whether I have overpaid for my food…

Great food, great drinks, great staff and great design. Flere kommenterede at kødet virkede oversaltet.

Wonderful interior, great service and lovely food! I went here last night on a girls night out. We had 10 wonderful courses, served over 4 rounds and 2 pitches of Dark n’ Stormy cocktail and we only had to pay 600 per person, not including the tip we left for the wonderful service. The food was exciting and interesting as well as tasty. I really recommend choosing the menu. The drinks were perfect and the atmosphere relaxed. We really loved the polite, professional and friendly service. I was concerned that they might be snobbish, but it that fear was put to shame by our wonderful waitress. My friend was allergic to beans and our waitress was polite and quick to check with the kitchen. Our one friend was visiting from Australia. After we had explained to the first waitress that she didn’t speak Danish then all servers communicated with us in English, which was great when they presented the different dishes. They were also great at explaining/warning is about how spicy the different dishes were. I can’t recommend Llama enough — especially for a night out with friends.

Great atmosphere and great food! The salsa at this place is the only place in Copenhagen that actually got the kick, too bad the chips are too small to scoop the deliciousness. Make sure you get yourself a pitcher of margarita and duck wings before you head out. This is also a great place to get some cocktails before a night in town… conveniently next to the club, Sunday.

Good drinks, good atmosphere, mediocre(but inoffensive) food. The design, execution, and service are great, but the chef stopped short of delivering interesting food, instead option for quite bland fusion-y dishes overall. If I had my eye closed, I would have thought I was eating food from a chinese buffet — the tequenos tasted like deep fried spring rolls and came with a sauce which could have been sweet plum sauce, and the pork with raw pickled pineapple & chocolate sauce wasn’t sweet and sour pork stir fry, but it sure tasted like it. The creamy seabass ceviche with mango, sweet potatoes & sesame oil had a celery-sesame-light-fish combination which seemed more chinese. Hopefully the chefs will revamp the menu sometime. In the meantime, if your group is split between going to a posh cocktail bar and a chinese buffet, then this is your spot! Note that at 11ish the high-top/bar seating area gets very cocktail bar like. Maybe you should avoid getting the full menu if you have a 20:45 seating in that area.

We were meeting some friends at Llama, first of all we had to decide for reservation time. 2 possibilities only. either 18:30 or 9pm We had 2 hours to eat, and then you are being rush for dessert. Ambiance: A+ Food was good and tasty, but small. Too small for the price. Very big restaurant, different kind of Ambiance possible, from the cozy round table with candles, to the high table and stools, to sitting at the bar to enjoy the bartenders mixing in front of you. Group are also a possibility, it was not to loud around us, but i’m sure it can get pretty intense, i saw a DJ table. Speaking of food: There is a menu 275 per person for a 4 courses menu, you definitely taste many different thing. But: ALL the table has to take it. number for some at our table. Cocktail are fun and funky. interesting tapas to start: ceviche, tartare or fried shrimp. Then main course: little plates unfortunately. BUT, it leaves you space for the dessert, that are actually impressive and AMAZING. I am not a sweet tooth, but the banana with caramel is something. Good way to end the night.

Super amazing concept. The atmousphere and the service is effective, relaxed, professional Ams courteous. The glasses are well-proportioned and the prices ditto. We had two seats at the bar, which is very recommendable when you are two, but there are various seating combo’s in this amazingly cool decorated cellar space. We got the menu, and if you are not familiar with south American cuisine, I would recommend that! Lime and choriander infused sauces for the fish made then fresh and juicy and the meat was tender and wonderfully put together to create a surprising experience. The dessert was superb and all throughout the staff were fun, helpful, courteous and helpful. Recommended x 10

This place oozes of trendy minimalism yet has something very intimate about it. Dimmed lights and dark surfaces, kind of louge-y background music. Great for a larger group or a date! I came here with three other friends and we had a very pleasant time from the moment we were seated at our reserved table. We were attended to by a very friendly waitress and got the menus. I did not have the wine but was told by my friends that the first Chilean red on the list was delicious. We were advised to share a bunch of starters and main courses which turned out to be a great idea. Judging by how busy it was I think we waited a decent amount of time for the food but all in all our anticipations were met by instant salivation once the food arrived on the table. All the food was heavenly with all sorts of amazing flavours. The only thing that brings down my total score for this place is that I could barely see what I was eating :(I was so close to bringing out the flashlight on my phone to get an actual look and be able to use all my senses during the meal, however I soon realised that would be hardly appropriate… As a final touch we had the prisco drinks special for this day. I think I’d go with a more citrusy one next time as my passion fruit prisco was a tad bit too sweet for my taste. All in all this was a fantastic culinary experience and I’d be delighted to come back!

I was here for a birthday dinner on a Saturday and it was totally worth it. The place is absolutely worth trying. The food is special, something you don’t get on an everyday basis and the atmosphere was great. The place is very centrally located next to the large mall called Magasin. It is a little under the ground meaning no internet connection. Apart from the lack of internet it is a great place to visit. The floors are made of tiles that remind of an exotic place, all different with various colours. Other than the colourful floor most of the interior is kept black which makes a nice contrast. They sat us on the bar where we had good space to eat, with comfortable stools. It seemed like the new cool place to be, very very fancy people and next to us was sitting an actress from«the killing» series. So if you re looking for fancy people, this is where you should have a dinner on a Saturday. People were also coming for drinks after around 22:30 and the music was set louder at 23:00. The food was excellent, well made and very tasty. We had several plates and I enjoyed them all. For a main I had the steak and for starters we had one of the fish courses and the taquinos. Excellent! The only thing I must say I was a bit dissapointed was the girl who took our order. She didn’t ask how we would like our meat, if we also wanted to order drinks or if we wanted side orders for the main course. But that is minor details. I definitely would recommend this place to be tried out!

Llama is very trendy, with a relaxed atmosphere and a cool, «designer» interior that’s going for the classy slash hipster South American vibe. It’s definitely a good place to go with a group of friends — they have a margarita pitcher that looks delicious — and as a theme restaurant it’s a fun experience. The food is average, however. Me and my boyfriend had the fixed menu, and I was satisfied, but it wasn’t something I would rave about; my boyfriend said he felt like a lot of the dishes were frozen and not fresh(although he’s a tough critic). Plus the service was really slow, despite the fact that it was a Thursday and they weren’t that busy. Overall, a pretty solid 3. Not bad — if you’re thinking if trying it out, go for it. But not one of the greats.

I’m not sure if it was my actual experience, or the anticipation building up to eating at Llama, that earned that fifth star, to be perfectly honest. You see, I heart South American food Big Time. It’s my jam. It’s my peanut butter on celery. It’s my heart and everything else. So when I walked by it before opening day a couple months ago, those tiles sang happy songs of future South American foodgasms and foodcomas and pisco sours until I was softly lured to sleep by their distinctly imagined aromas. And in reality, the food was absolutely up to expectation. I’ve never seen a new restaurant so full so early on, either, which is worth mentioning. The service was absolutely on par, and ALMOST everything placed in front of us sent me into ecstasy. However. I never thought I would ever say this, but for the first time in a VERYLONGTIME, I was also really glad I didn’t order the 3 course prix-fixe. My dinner date and I shared three snacks(oxheart, beef tacos, baby corn), and each ordered a starter(tartare and walleye ceviche) and a main, deciding that we would figure out dessert later. By the time my main course came(I ordered the pork collar with green beans), I was still hungry, but by about half way through, I couldn’t finish it. This rarely happens to me, you guys. Not outside of the US with their enormous portions problem, anyway. I wanted so so badly to finish my delicious pork, but it was so rich that I couldn’t swallow another bite. APPARENTLY the portions of this dish used to actually be bigger, which sort of blows my mind. I think I got 4 bites in before I had to stop. Worth mentioning is that the prix-fixe option of guinea fowl was quite delicious and appropriately sized, so I gave Llama the benefit of the doubt here that my dish is a fluke in an otherwise perfectly mastered menu. Needlesstosay, because my dinner date and I are certified gluttons, we got dessert anyway(chocolate cake with chili), and it was pretty freakin’ awesome, but I was just riched out to the max after that dinner. SO. Pro-tip: CHOOSEWISELY. A little goes a long way here, and this is coming straight to you from a person who is not shy about her love for over-eating good food. PS: there is no cell phone reception in the restaurant(for TDC users, specifically), and they claim to not have wifi, but I found a free ‘guest’ connection that did the job when I needed to send an sms. :)
