we located this place via Unilocal in Copenhagen during a 2 day visit in December 2015 — what a find! typical Danish open face sandwiches which were all delicious — do not forget the beer and aquavit to help digest!

Went on-​spec for one of the busiest evenings in Copenhagen. They managed to squeeze both my colleague and me in.
It’s all traditional Danish food, delicious cured fish with a sweet mustard that’s really spectacular. The main corse was duck with various traditional sides. Check the pictures.

Good classic Danish fare. As it’s located just off of the main shopping venue, it’s easy to access but not overrun with tourists.
This was a great little place to start our tour of Copenhagen.

We were delighted to visit this charming restaurant with a small tour group and it was everything, and more, of what we anticipated! The food and atmosphere was perfection and the service was equally outstanding. One added bonus, and a complete surprise, was that it was just a few doors from the family home where my grandmother was born in 1885. This restaurant was one of the highlights of our visit to the beautiful city of Copenhagen.

Great spot for some Danish food. I like that it’s a simple establishment with one guy running the whole show.
They do some great open-​faced sandwiches and I thorougly enjoyed my massive PLATTER of Stegt flæsk.
Bonus points for letting me use the last of my cash and putting the rest on a credit card.

I came here with colleagues on a layover and wasn’t surprised to find that this small, cozy restaurant was busy. I ordered the veal liver with fries, among my colleagues who’d ordered the wienerschnitzel with potatoes, and EVERYTHING we ordered was incredible. INCREDIBLE. The liver was SO tasty and tender, and the fries… oh, those fries… delicious crispy, golden brown — the standard to which all fries should be held. Amazing meal, I hope I go back soon just so I can eat here again!

I’m not sure what to say here. What I had was an immense portion (plus) of what appears to be deep fried bacon /​pork (plus or a minus?) served by a woman who I don’t think liked me very much (minus) in a great atmosphere (plus). Great beer at a reasonable price too (plus).
I don’t know how to really deal with this experience. The Stegt flæsk was clearly over cooked, dry, and difficult to eat. After reading about it, I suspect they cooked it far too long. However, the portions and quality of everything else seemed par or above expectations, and the price wasn’t terrible (I’ve become accustomed to spending 70 – 100 $US per meal for 2 in Nordic countries). Anyway, experience left me befuddled. Three stars seems appropriate for the wild swings on this meal.

A gem in the neighborhood! Must try the roast pork, it’s big portion and taste kind of like the Chinese roast pig if you’ve ever had that. The pickled radish and red cabbage are great compliments to the meaty dish.

I visited Copenhagen last year and was so impressed with this traditional Danish restaurant that I had to return. It’s a fantastic experience for visitors who want to experience traditional Danish fare. I recommend the roast pork dinner, a traditional Danish Christmas meal. I have also tried the shrimp smorrebrød, which is delicious. Bring your appetite, they serve generous portions.

We happened upon this restaurant during our exploration of the city and what a lucky pick it was! All four of us loved our meals. I was so excited to find Wiener schnitzel in Denmark and it didn’t disappoint! Waitress was wonderful as well. We will definitely come back!
