Homey soul food My first time here and I didn’t know what to expect. I first noticed this place about half a year ago, and for some reason I have been avoiding trying it out… Perhaps because of the kitsch exterior deco or the empty looking display window… Now that I have tried it I can say that I was pleasantly surprised! I ordered the daily dish which was a sort of stew — loads of green veggies and proper pork pieces. It was honestly super tasty and I finished up in like five minutes feeling very satisfied. They served me some traditional bread on the side which was tasty as well and a good match for the plate. For drinks I ordered a «Red Donky» a hoppy dark ale, very tastful! Finishing up my meal they served me a complementary warm chocolate-banana pastry — now that’s the kind of service I like! Well done!

To begin with, I am Greek! So I will try to be as strict as I can with this review. I heard about this place from all my Greek friends and finally I visited it with my Danish friend who happens to be a Greek food admirer. The first impression this place gives you is bad. How kitsch can a place be? The colors and the decorations are just not what they should be. Well I still tried to have a positive attitude and we ordered coffee. I had a freddo cappuccino which is a coffee you can find only in Greece(more or less a cold cappuccino). My friend had a frappé, again cold coffee but different type. My coffee was good, she said she can make better frape home. Then we saw they have all these Greek pies that I miss so much. Spinach pie, cheese pie, cream pie with cinnamon, etc. So we had the spinach pie which was warm and tasty and they brought for us for free a cream pie which was also delicious. I can’t say it has been the best pies I have had compared to Greece, but for Danish standards they were really good and it made me feel like being home. This could become one of those places to go when you miss a Greek taste. The service was also friendly and prices were very low. The last star is missed because of the kitsch interior which if I could have my hands on I would change with no money to look amazing! Definitely would come back for the spinach pie and freddo. And maybe also to say hi to the friendly owners!

I’d like to be objective but I can’t because I totally LOVE this place !!! I first got here only 5 days after the opening and got thrilled right away !!! Totally greek atmosphere, great greek snacks and coffees, AMAZING teas, and friendly people to hang with !!! It’s the greek hot spot of Copenhagen, but not only for Greeks !!! Non-greeks are more than welcome here, where they can feel truly at home !!!

When I first got here, Graesk Smag had just opened 10 days ago, there weren’t many customers then yet, they are still very new. The owners all work here so whoever you see for now, will be the owners. I met the 2 brothers that owns the place and they are both super nice! I love hanging out here. Food is as authentic as you can get for Greek cuisine. They really only have some of the bakery items in Greece, both sweet and savory. There are many different varieties but only a good handful of flavors will be on display each day since business is still slow. Coffee are freshly made by Lanni and Thanos(and Victor, maybe, I didn’t meet him on the days I was there). Good Greek coffee, a lot like the Turkish coffee. Food is cheap for what you get and owners are generous as long as you sweet talk them some(just kidding, don’t tell them I said that!). But if you’d like, tell them that you know me, they will know who I am and maybe they will throw an extra smile your way! They both speak English very well!

True Greek taste, as named! Went there Sunday afternoon with some friends for coffee… and YES!!! Super welcoming, smiling and friendly staff, delicious home-made Greek pies, fantastic Greek-style coffee(I don’t normally drink coffee, but I really enjoyed this one). It’s quite small, but very cosy. For a minute I felt like I was back home :) Fellow Greeks in Copenhagen… great news: You now have a place for Freddo Cappuccino!
