The small Forloren Espresso is a nice addition to the otherwise largely touristy area around Kongens Nytorv. They have a clear focus on quality coffee and often have for example La Cabra available. They do however rotate the selection and usually have a few different hand brews to choose from. Execution is usually very good, have had a few that have been really great but always at least good. Espresso based is also reliable. Service is usually polite but I would not call it friendly. It is also very meticulous and may be a bit slow at times. So while the execution is good, there may be a wait for your coffee and there is perhaps not much of an invitation to chat or talk with the staff. That said I still like it and while it feels more un-Danish(would be more Swedish or Finnish) to be a bit quiet they still do a good job. There is also free wifi so while the place is small it is still possible to sit around for a while. There are also some pastries and café style food so no need to go hungry. I would however perhaps still mainly come for the coffee. All in all a very good place for coffee in a city that despite some really good places suffer from a pretty poor average quality.

Nice little coffee shop a stone’s throw from Kongens Nytorv with a friendly proprietor. However, unfortunately neither the almond milk latte(too watery and with an unfamiliar tang you don’t get from a good latte made with soy or oats milk) nor the ice tea(bitter taste, I think it had simply brewed for too long) made a nice flavour impression. Given the overall great reviews of the place I get the feeling the coffee there is best enjoyed black. And the tea warm. Also nb that the prices are also pretty hefty and only something I’d pay(again) if I’d really enjoy the beverages I had.

Great selection of coffee and espresso. The coffee beans are from a nice selection of reknown contemporary micro roasteries, and brewed on a Kalita wave pour-over. The owner is a enthusiastic coffee geek, who will gladly share his knowledge and wisdom, and is most accomodating. Nice atmosphere and true

Great service, La Cabra coffee is excellent, and the barista makes a beautiful latte every time. I have been twice already today, and this is my coffee shop when I visit Copenhagen. The owner and I both own small business so we have lots to talk about, and the place is very clean and friendly. Although small, I will hang out there and chat with the regulars any time.

This is a little gem of a coffee bar. The place makes not only great coffee but they also have almond milk as a milk substitute for us who are really tired of soy milk(and can’t drink cows milk). The coffee bar has quite a good number of seats and a bar by the window where you can sit and enjoy the view of people walking by. The owner has a large collection of photo books that you can look in if you ask nicely. I’m coming back that’s for sure.
