Smells like smoke, is it the chef? Brunch here is not recommended. Bread is fresh but bland, fruit was precut ages ago and comes out of a bucket. Maybe come here for lunch or something else.

Super chill place, pretty awesome for a date. Cozy and dark on the inside, and super unpretentious. I came for dinner and had their chorizo sandwich — it was pretty awsome. The prices are reasonable and the place is in the trendy Vesterbro neighborhood. Enjoy!

One of the first cafés in this part of Copenhagen(Istedgade) and used to be the local pharmacy. Unpretentious and relaxed. The breakfast is still good and sort of a «local» Danish breakfast. Have a dedicated corner for 2 pinball machines that are changed from time to time. Very nice place and always full on weekends. Cool and worth a visit.

The ATM sandwich is to die for. Staff is usually rather friendly. My only complaint is with the seating arrangement — a bit too disorganized for my taste. The place is often«full», even though there are a lot of empty chairs.

Can’t comment on the drinks but the food was mighty fine. My friend recommended we stop by Café Bang og Jensen for lunch and I happily obliged. This place has a very cozy feel and is decorated with quirky vintage furniture. There’s plenty of space to dine and WiFi if you want to work although it can be a little dark inside. There are a few big comfy chairs where people were just sitting and reading so the noise level doesn’t seem to be that distracting. The food portions are rather large. I had the Croque Monsieur and it was good. Be aware of the kick from the mustard though. The staff is friendly and the prices were reasonable. I would definitely come back again and try their dinner menu.

The coolest café in town. Down home funky, the best vibe on Vesterbro. Fast WiFi, the sweetest staff, drinkable coffee and plenty of it, free refills, unheard of in Denmark! I love the place, you will too.

Everyone looked good here, but I surmise that might have just been because of all the candlelight. That definitely helped the«hygge» feeling I got from this place. It has an old rustic feel, quite warm and inviting, and the staff has always been friendly. The prices are quite reasonable, and they even work on the presentation skills of their good food. Their menu is both in Danish and English, so that helps. At the cost of being rustic are some chairs that probably would fall apart soon, but when it’s not that busy, you have lots of tables and chairs to pick from. It could use some updating, but that might mean sacrificing some of the local charm this place has, so there’s that. Otherwise, it’s a nice little hole in the wall, which you can easily miss as you’re cruising down Istedgade, but if you happen to have the chance, it’s a good place to check out.

I really liked this café/bar! It had a good atmosphere and it was cosy. On a weekday it was almost full at 19:00 in the evening. I guess it’s quite popular! They also serve food. We had the nachos and they were average. I mean not enough melted cheese on them and the sauces we got with them were poor and not enough. It was more or less straight from the super market. Maybe the other dishes are much better. The beer was a bit expensive. 50 dkk for a large draft beer. But I mean it depends what you re looking for. It was a really nice place to be on a weekday, I liked the atmosphere. It was a proper bar to relax and have a conversation with your friends! The interior was a bit dark with tables here and there. It’s a bit hard to mingle, at least on a weekday, as everyone seemed to be just on their own groups. It is a café that had this old pub feeling that I really like. It misses two stars because of the food and the prices.

For me this is a classical copenhagen café. The food is good, but not wow. A lot of people using it to sit and work during the days. Nice atmosphere and ok prices. Last time I was their they did not accept foreign cards though.

OK place. With a price of 98 kr for brunch, I guess it’s an alright place to get something to eat. Unfortunately I didn’t try anything else than brunch. Brunch consists of boiled eggs, croissant /pain au chocolate, bread, cheese, jam, muesli and fruit. Pretty standard fare but you get to fill out blanket by the cashier to specify your preference. The atmosphere is cool tho’. It reminds me of those retro cafes in Berlin. Perfectly nice place to hang out all day if you like, and you get unlimited coffee and tea(from AC Perch) with your brunch.

An inviting café with a relaxing study vibe by day and a casual bar ambiance by night. Hosts the usual young Vesterbro crowd, and fills up quickly in the evenings. A great place for people watching or cozying up in the back room on one of their vintage couches. Beer and coffees are very fairly priced, and the service is so-so, depending on how busy it is(and it’s usually quite busy).

One of my favorite places in Vesterbro for sure. The first time I came here, it was just for orange juice and a croissant… and to this day it was one of the best croissants I have had in the city! It’s a great spot for lunch, dinner, a glass of wine or just a coffee. It has such a unique, intimate cozy vibe. if you are in the neighborhood stop by. I am a big fan of their brunch items or the goat cheese and Serrano ham salad. Super yummy!

For anyone looking to escape from the cold Vesterbro night and warm up in an upbeat local, this is the place. If however, your plan is to eat breakfast here — let’s just say you get what you pay for. Certainly an affordable place in Copenhagen is a massive draw card, and this is definitely affordable. What it isn’t is efficient, accurate, delicious, or particularly friendly. When placing your breakfast order you’re instructed to fill out a form, placing corresponding crosses against what you want to order. On receiving my food I discovered mine was wrong. I politely let the person who took my order know, she told me to ‘tell the kitchen because that’s not my area’. Okay. I told the kitchen, they said that replacing my food would take a while but they’d bring it out to me. How generous. The coffee is served when you order, and by the time the food arrives it’s a chilly brown brew poured from a jug. By the time my replacement breakfast arrived the rest of my food was as stone cold as the coffee. Breakfast in many ways is an art form, but a relatively easy one to get right. Bang & Jensen haven’t.

My boyfriend and I got the Croque Monsieur and Croque Chevre for brunch one Sunday morning. They certainly don’t skimp on the ingredients at this place! I am definitely going to be a repeat customer next time I visit Kobenhavn! A low point is the washroom. Just avoid it if you can.

This is a hipster bar in a hipster neighborhood with many cool bars that I really like. This neighbor hood is my new favorite part of Copenhagen! At night the clientele is guests in their 20−30-something and during daytime a bit older. Laid back atmosphere. Worn furnitures. Breakfast served all day — looked really good!(Didn’t have it). If you prefer IPA, ales and pale ales on tap — look further. Here they go for lagers. Super hot temperature in the inner room! Please get AC or at least get the windows to open! In the back they have two pinball machines — Judge Dredd and Big Buck Hunter. DDK10 per credit. They are placed a bit cramped, but ok. Just turn them on if you want to play. Coins can be changed in the bar, but preferably bring a bunch yourself. Both machines are in ok condition(BBH even good). AMEX not accepted. Free wifi!

Been here a couple times. Once for an afternoon coffee/work session and once for drinks. Their coffee is tasty and their vibe is a nice funky coffee house feel with a lot of character. I split the burrito with my friend, and though it wasn’t mexican food per se, it was a tasty filling lunch. It was a bit more akin to chili mixed with typical burrito fare. It is fairly quiet during the day and bustling at night when it transforms into its bar persona. Would definitely recommend it for a chill night of drinking and chatting with friends. Great CPH hangout spot.

Einfach spitze.

Despite attracting a lot of hipsters, Bang&Jensen pulls off being a cosy bar with great atmosphere, both for late night conversations with friends and for an afternoon lunch or coffee. The interior is retro and exiting — despite showing wear and tear. Their brunches are ok, and they have some light dishes for lunch and dinner.
