Bar Hoffa

Looking for a nice non-​smoking bar? This place is a great answer! Nice location, lovely interior, good drinks and food! And you do not go home smelling bad hehe!
The prices could be a little smaller but oh well :-)

I had the Pork sandwich based on a previous reviewer’s recommendation and it was AMAZING! I would definitely recommend this place (and the sandwich).
Seems to be very popular. Table seating is by reservation only so plan ahead (its worth it). Or just sit at the bar. Atmosphere is very nice. I was here on a Wednesday and all tables were full.
While a bar/​small restaurant its somewhat upscale without the price.
All in all a great experience.

Bar Hoffa was an absolutely fantastic bar IMHO. This place has the bar business down to a science from the entry way, to the functional layout all the way to the nicely organized menu. The beer/​cocktail selection is eccentric and amazing. The food is also a thing of beauty with a big shoutout to the pork sandwich, that thing was absolutely amazing! Overall, the reviews are in fact extremely accurate and Bar Hoffa is one of those places that you should visit if your in the mood for a nice drink and some good eats all at a reasonable price.

Best service, good wine and cocktails. I particularly appreciate it’s stylish but not snobby.

The atmosphere is good, the location is central, the staff is great and the cocktails are… fine. A bit on the sweet side and often not terribly authentic, but tasty enough. A good enough place if you are sick of beer.

I was here once for a lunch (on a working day and we had the lunch offer) and it doesn’t attract me back. However, may be the right choice in the evening… seems so (though if you fancy wine, you may prefer the close Redpif ;))
Navštívila jsem to jen jedinkrát na oběd (v pracovní den a měli jsme polední nabídku) a neláká mě to zpět. NIcméně to může být to správný místo pro večer/​noc… působí tak (ovšem chcete-​li dobré víno, doporučuju blízký Redpif ;))

After walking bout 15 miles touring Praha I asked the hotel for a local eatery where I could have a simple meal a few drinks and call it a night. that was within walking distance. They pointed

Really friendly nice staff, doesn’t feel like a tourist spot, cool vibe and interesting cocktail menu. We visited on a Friday around 7pm and had no problem finding a table.
Trivia — the bar is named after Jimmy Hoffa… And conveniently resides street level of the Union building.

Really nice place for an after work drink. We had wine and several tapas. The wine was excellent and the tapas were very tasty. Good service, nice atmosphere. I would recommend this place!

Hoffa is one of my favourite bars in Prague. Beginning with the fact that it’s fully non-​smoking and ending with their nice menu which includes small snacks, bigger snacks, proper meals and a great variety of different alcoholic and non-​alcoholic drinks. The service is incredibly good. They often have concerts and host many events. The place is totally crowded on Fridays and weekends, so the reservation is recommended.

Was at bar Cílí and I met a bartender that worked at Hoffa. Decided to stop in and was blown away by the quality and care that went into the drinks. The espresso martini is the best that I have ever had and their rum based drinks are excellent.
If you are a little burned out on beer and want to visit a place devoid of tourists be sure to stop in.

Just passed and saw that modern bar. I had to enter and experience there food. The only thing I can say about this bar is if you’re in Prague and didn’t go to ‘Bar Hoffa’ you definitely have to come back.

I have to say that I really love this bar. The atmosphere is very friendly and it’s great for any time of the day — lunch, party, chat over a glass with a friend. Their burgers are amazing and the personnel always makes your mood better. I am sure that everyone falls in love with this place. I can highly recommend it.

While we don’t usually go for this type of industrial atmosphere, the other good reviews convinced us, and they were right! Husband kept repeating how good his Old Fashioned was, my beer was good, and we loved the selection of small plates. And the service was so friendly and attentive. Will definitely be heading back to try some of the other cheese dishes we missed the first visit.

We found everything just as described… Very nice and attentive wait staff, great beer and really flavorful burgers.
Also got to enjoy an impromptu jam session while dining.
This may become one of our favorite hangouts while in Prague!

Hoffa je již delší dobu jedničkou na posezení, kdykoliv je nálada. Bar je nekuřácký a skvělý též na organizování menších či větších eventů ať už s kolegy, přáteli nebo partnery.
V nabídce nápojů si určitě každý najde to své a pokud se nemůžete rozhodnout, věhlasný a lahodný rumík Don Papa to jistí ;)
Na místní jídlo se vždy těším. Za rozumný peníz zde dostanete dobroty v rozumné porci a taktéž se mi nestalo, že bych si nevybral.
Budete-​li mít cestu kolem, určitě se zastavte na příjemné posezení.

Some might say small hipster bar, I say one of the best bars in Prague!
I came across this bar by a chance when my friends suggested it as a place for our meet-​up. I was smitten immediately by the simple industrial interior design, long wooden bar and blackboards with today’s specials. Full bar with great cocktails, wine and micro-​brewery beer is complemented by great choice of international food and/​or snacks (depends on the time of the day). The work-​days special lunch menu features at least one vegetarian item and salad so literally everybody can find something to eat.
The staff is very nice, smiling, helpful if you’re lost in the immense choice and you definitely don’t feel like you’re bothering them (which is the case in most Czech bars and restaurants). I also very appreciate the free tap water that they give you here when you ask for it (also very rare in the Czech Republic).
Nice (and free) addition to all this is music (mostly lounge) played by different DJs, usually Wed-​Sat.
Oh, and did I mention that the bar is non-​smoking? Really, what else could you ask for? :-)

What’s not to like about this place?
I randomly came across this bar/​restaurant for a small meet up. The décor is pretty nice, trendy and clean. We immediately sat by the bar and were greeted nicely by the bartender. He was very polite and got our drinks right away! (which is really uncommon in Prague)
They have a great selection of cocktails, and wines but serves only one type of beer. So I just went with the usual– beer, every time I was almost done with my beer the bartender would scoop in and ask if we wanted more. The service was exceptionally great! 5 stars to the awesome bartenders. I ordered 3 rounds of beer, my total was just 105 Czk (5USD)
This is a non-​smoking bar which I LOVE. If you’d like to have a smoke, they would ask you to step outside. They also have a great selection of food options but It’s too bad I didn’t get to try it. The music does get a little loud after 9pm which I really didn’t mind.
Great place for after-​work Friday nights, good drinks, music and food. =)

This bar&restaurant is really exceptional for more than few reasons:
— Really healthy, and tasty choice on lunch menu every day from Monday to Friday (no matter what kind of a diet you are on, you will always find something for yourself!)
— Awesome cocktails, wine, free tap water, home made lemonades, simple but delicious evening meals. There is very few night bars in Prague where you can have a meal. Therefore you usually first need to go to restaurant, and only after to the bar.
— Great choice of international cuisine, and rocking chefs
— Very kind and helpful staff that will do their best for making to feel you comfortable
— Super convenient location in very center of Prague (ideal for big parties, since anybody can get there and back home in late night by metro, tram or train having a station very close by. Simply the best check-​point if you need to meet friends and each of you live somewhere else, further from the center.
— Cool and sophisticated design. Dress up in colorful clothes, you will beautifully shine among black-​grey-​wooden interior :)
— All that for very friendly prices.
