Rarely do I experience a sensation that makes me actually stop eatting and contemplate the meaning of life. Magic is alive and in these chefs as they move in the kitchen. I was lucky enough in my life to experience perfection via food. People will say what they want. I will say that this food changed me. My wife and I both had chicken after having pork, meat and duck the last few days. Do yourselves a favor and come here for a good beer and meal. For that one guy running around serving all the tables I bow to you. Prices are considerably low compared to certain high end restaurants in the area. Good day!

We had bbq pork ribs, a bbq /smoked half duck dish, and a glass of beer. The portions were simply huge. It was quite difficult for us(2 persons) to finish dining completely. Pork ribs were well seasoned, and the duck had a great crisp to it. Beer was good, and overall price was reasonable. But I would have preferred if the service staff warned us about the portion sizes. Service was rather slow as well. Tax was not included in menu pricing!(edit: after dining at other restaurants today, it seems like it’s the norm to have it included, especially since the tax was 18%!!)

Uriges, symphatisches tschechisches Restaurant im Herzen von Prag. In der Nähe des Hauptbahnhofs und direkt am jüdischen Viertel gelegen. Freundliche Bedienung, Speisekarten in mehreren Sprachen und eine gute Speisenauswahl mit vielen tschechischen Spezialitäten zu moderaten Preisen. Das Restaurant ist keine Touristenfalle — hier verkehren auch Bewohner Prags. Die Essen werden optisch ansprechend serviert. An Getränken gibt es ebenfalls eine große Auswahl(Biere aus der Pils. Urquell Brauerei u.a. Gambrinus vom Faß unfiltriert). Neben den typisch tschechischen Spezialitäten gibt es auch div. Hühnchen und Nudelgerichte etc. Alles in allem sehr empfehlenswert — aber Achtung: Rauchergaststätte.

A party of four of us had a very nice dinner here. Reasonably priced and with excellent service. The staff speak English. I had a lovely meal of various types of pork and gammon on a skewer served with roasted potatoes. Cider was available which is always a plus for me. The restaurant is located not far from the Mucha Museum and the walls are decorated with examples of his artwork along with numerous clocks(I’m not sure why though). Smoking is allowed in the main dining area. Fortunately ventilation is very good and it wasn’t a problem.
