WOW! I was totally looking forward to this event: not only because it is an Argentinian restaurant and I am vegetarian, no just because it was my first time in Prague and I had the chance to attend Mishka’s Elite Event and meet all of her amazing elites — so open, friendly and just very kind. If you don’t know the Prague Unilocal Community and their CM Mishka yet, you should hurry up and meet them: Because the event was GREAT! Such a good vibe, great business owner and it did not feel like a new restaurant because everything worked perfectly and we enjoyed a wonderful evening with lots of laugher and good red wine(I am not going to talk about the vodka shots that we had later that evening…). But first let me tell you something about the food & drinks: SUPERYUMMI! We could choose between 4 different and very special cocktails(happy eliting) and I had the Mango Cocktail — SOOOOO good! Really. Tasted like summer! I was very curious about the veggie food because Argentina is known for the beef and steaks — but I had two delicious dishes and the first one was even vegan! A couscous salad with perfectly salted mushrooms AND now comes the little perfect twist: they used different herbs and they made the whole meal taste very unusual and delicious! :) The second one was a sweetcorn fondue with a sour tomato paste — GOD, that was really delicious. Sweet and sour — really liked the combination. And at the end waited a CHOCHOLATE-CAKE-FLAN to get in my belly — mhmm! :D not to sweet but still enough to finish the evening perfectly — well almost — how I said the wine«leo» was soooooo good… «SALUD!»:D Mishka you have been such an amazing host — thank you for that beautiful evening with great people — that will be THE connection when I think about my first trip to Prague! :)

Yep, the stars are right. Another great, epic, awesome event. This time maybe even more awesome because of our friends from abroad. Thank you guys for coming and it was great to meet you. And thank you Mishka for organizing it. Again perfect work. Drinks were interesting, meals were delicious. Especially Chorizo. I would never say that I am gonna be a fan of Chorizo, because so far I ate only the spanish one and it´s just not my style, but Argentina put me back on the right track. And as I said to owner, in a former California gouverner style: I´ll be back :-)

The«Noche» to Remember We knew this was going to be a special night with all those Unilocal Community Managers coming from all over Europe and the expected to be formal atmosphere of the Argentinian Steakhouse. Therefore I felt a bit anxious, like a peg-legged gringo at the tango ball. But then I entered the room. And the Room it was. Grand, vast, with the solid cocktail bar as a centerpiece, the space seemed to have no beginning and no end like Buenos Aires, eternal like water and air or fire from the Josper grill. The combination of rustic and chic modern worked perfectly. The furniture was a combination of solid wood, iron and leather. The lighting was unobtrusive, set the mood right and had a designer’s hand written all over it. The padre of the establishment was super sympathetic guy who was the real soul of the restaurant, explaining us what are we were about to taste, and how he was managing to get all things to be just right. The waitresses were proud and precise tall girls with South American flare and passion in their eyes. Can they dance Tango, I was wondering secrety? I must not forget Mishka, our Eva Perón of the evening, sporting the stylish Argentinean dress, talking and socializing on all the fronts at the same time. Of course, the food was heaven-sent, served on sizzling hot plates, the chorizo was flavorful, the meat was tender and juicy and the accompanying vegetables, herbs and sauces were like new continents of tastes to be discovered. I am coming back here. Pronto! There is a custom in Argentina to applaud to the chef, if the steak is excellent. Our Argentinean chef was a bit shy, and it took a while before he emerged. But when he did, we clapped and clapped and clapped…

This was an awesome event with what felt like a hundred people involved — which I loved. The overall vibe was very familiar and comfy even though I don’t attend too many Unilocal events. Also Gran Fierro doesn’t feel like a place that is fairly new. There were no little glitches and mistakes, everyone worked together fabulously. More! Moarrr!
