Tasty cocktails, awesome and cozy atmosphere but not enough space. However really nice and friendly staff!

The bartender shirt changed me 50kr. After getting her attention, she apologized and gave be the change before i even told her the problem. Shady. Don’t expect great service. Maybe it’s a Czech thing

I was in Prague for the Thanksgiving holidays and this bar was right down the street from where I was staying. I was lured here by the cheap, cheap drinks. The bar is tiny, filled with smoke, and mostly populated by middle-​aged people, but the drinks are good (and cheap). This was probably due to the language barrier, but the waitress seemed put off when I couldn’t understand her (the loud music didn’t help, either). Some men harassed us on the way out. Probably better to go somewhere else unless you’re looking for a dive bar.

Das Al Capone’s ist so ein Laden, bei dem man nicht so genau weiß, ob man ihn eigentlich in einem Review empfehlen soll, denn schließlich will man nicht, dass er seinen Geheimtippcharakter verliert. Etwas abseits der großen Touristenströme gelegen, besuchen diese gemütliche kleine Cocktailbar in der Regel «Einheimische». Touristen werden möglicherweise von der etwas schäbigen Fensterfront abgeschreckt, oder der Tatsache, dass der Laden auf den ersten Blick wirklich ultrawinzig aussieht. Aber keine Sorge, neben dem Barbereich gibt es hinten durch noch einen weiteren Raum. Dennoch, deutlich mehr als 30 Leute passen wohl nicht in den Laden.
Das Al Capone’s bietet eine recht große Auswahl an Cocktails, neben den Standards auch diverse lustige Eigenkreationen. Die Cocktails sind geschmacklich sehr ausgewogen, nicht zu «scharf», nicht zu lasch. Die Deko ist eher spartanisch, aber das lässt sich verschmerzen, denn der Hammer sind schlicht und ergreifend die Preise. Der Durchschnittpreis für Cocktails ist 69 Kronen, also 2,70 Euro, das Maximum beträgt bei den normalen Cocktails gerade mal 89 Kronen, also 3,50 Euro. Bei den Preisen kann man dann auch die wenig dekorierten Gläser verschmerzen — der Inhalt zählt. Und der ist einwandfrei. Dazu noch eine sehr nette Bedienung, entspanntes, studentisches Publikum — was will man mehr?

I live close to this bar. I don’t really hear much noise since they usually ask customers to stay inside. Even though this bar is pretty small, it can get pretty busy at times even on weekdays. If you live/​in town looking for cheap cocktails, this is a spot for you.
Last time I was here, I asked for a lemon drop shot, it came in a good size of a shot glass with a big lemon placed on top lit on fire. Lemon drop on fire? I guess it’s a Czech thing ;) it was pretty delicious! I also had a beer after, all for 4 $. Hey can’t complain!
The reason why I give this place 3 stars, I’m a non smoker, they don’t have a designated area for smoking and non smoking people. It can get very smokily at times.

Oh my, what a disappointment compared to Hemingway’s. Smoking sections only. Not great bar list. Could not get a Cosmo. Trying all drink bars in town skip this one.

Eine tolle Bar mit umwerfend guten Cocktails für umgerechnet ungefähr 5EUR. Die shots sind auch zu empfehlen in dieser zwar etwas kleinen aber dennoch sehr gemütlichen Bar.

Found this place by accident while looking for a pub recommended in a travel guide. There was something intriguing about the subdued lighting and shelves crammed full of spirits that drew us in. We didnt move on to find the other place and made a return visit during our stay!
The atmosphere is intimate and the cocktail menu is extensive and at first we couldnt believe the prices. Our bill for 13 drinks (inc 2 coffees) was around £20.
The Strawberry Daquiri IS to die for, the Long Island Ice Tea was WOW, the Maguerita i had on our first visit was just heavenly — though different bar staff meant the one I had on our second visit wasnt quite as nice. Can recommend the Be-​Ton — Becherovka and tonic.
It is possible to get a smile from the staff, but be patient!
And yeah — we’ll go back again should we ever be in Prague again.

OMG this bar was by far my favourite drinking spot in Prague. For the size of it they offer an unbelievable range and variety of drinks. There are hot drinks, soft drinks, beers, pretty much all the spirits you can imagine and the greatest selection of cocktails ever!
At only 65czk (around £2.15) for an amazing strawberry daquiri (it is a must-​try!), my friend and I had one of the cheapest nights ever.
The bar staff are great and there is surprisingly waitress service which was quick and friendly.
If you are in Prague go here! This is definitely where you’ll find me when I’m back there.

Klein, eng, dunkel und mit viel rot gestaltet, so präsentiert sich das Al Capones. Die Cocktails sind sehr lecker, die Preise überaus günstig (für 60 Kronen bekommt man schon was leckeres) und obwohl es dort vor allem am Wochenende abends durchaus mal sehr voll werden kann und in der Bar nicht nur geraucht werden darf, sondern sogar Zigarren verkauft werden, bleibt die Luft angenehm frisch (gutes Abzugsystem?).
Absinth wird im Al Capones auch ausgeschenkt, aber nachdem ich beobachten konnte, wie gestandene Männer sich beim Trinken vor Grausen schütteln, habe ich auf den Selbstversuch verzichtet ;-)
