ČERNÝ OREL – pivovar | restaurant | hotel | penzion

My partner and I ate at Cerny Orel for lunch while we were driving through eastern Czech Republic, and overall, this is a pretty classy place located right on the main square.
Almost all of the seat is in big benches and big tables. We were only a party of two, so I didn’t really know if we should sit one of the tables, but apparently that’s what you do.
They have a very large menu and everything is in English, Czech, and German. We opted for one specialties, the pickle cheese beer cheese. Honestly, it was not tasty whatsoever. But this is why we try different foods, I don’t have to like everything in order for it to be good. The presentation was very nice I’m sure it was a good beer cheese, I just didn’t like the taste at all. I ordered the pork tenderloin, and it came out in a very formal presentation and I really wasn’t expecting. The taste was fine, and it was well-​prepared.
The service was very friendly, and I’m sure they’re used to dealing with tourists all the time. He explained the long menu to us with patience. Also, they brew their own beers here, so I definitely recommend trying some of those.

Direkt am Hauptplatz gelegen, befindet sich diese Minibrauerei mit Restaurant und Hotel. Neben den 4 Bierhauptsorten (hell, dunkel, halbdunkel und Weizen), gibt es meist eine saisonale Spezialität, wie etwa ein Minzbier.
Nachdem ich einige E-​Mails mit dem Chef gewechselt habe, wurde uns (3er-​Gruppe) eine Privatfürung gegeben, welche zwar nicht in fließendem Englisch, dafür aber vom Braumeister und Chef persönlich gemacht wurde.
Das gesamte Personal ist sehr freundlich und es gibt auch eine englischsprachige Speisekarte.
Die Auswahl an vegetarischen Gerichten war doppelt so groß wie in den meisten tschechischen Wirtshäusern (2 Gerichte: neben dem allbekannten gebackenen Käse gibt es auch Schwammerlsauce mit Semmelknödel). Die Portionen sind reichlich und im Nachhinein mussten wir uns ärgern, vorher eine Suppe gespeist zu haben.
Einziges Manko war, dass wir lange auf unser Essen warten mussten.
Für jeden Besucher der Stadt Kremsier ein unbedingtes Muss!
