Fellini

We had a special deal with Touristour. 12.000 for a 3-​course meal and 2 drinks. I had the ceviche, not so good. The trout, npt so good either, the ice-​cream, ok.

Adorè este lugar. Si anda por Viña y con hambrecita pase a este restaurant de inspiración italiana a probar sus buenos platos.
Nosotros fuimos entre tincada y leyendo las recomendaciones de Unilocal,vimos que estaba lleno de turistas en manada y ni esa cantidad de gente nos amedrentó. Conseguir mesa es complicado, pero ese dia tuvimos suerte y encontramos una con ventanal.
La atención es muy buena, la chica amablemente nos recomendó algunos platos y nos indicó que las porciones eran grandes como dato para tener en cuenta. Mención aparte sus pancitos con toque de oliva para amenizar la espera ¡Maravilloso!
Con ese dato pedimos Fettucini de la casa para compartir, el cual tuvieron el detalle de porcionarlo en dos platos para comer cómodos y estaba exquisito todo, era la pasta con salsa pomodoro, mas camarones, pollo y trocitos de palta, además de sus buenas copas de vino. No es barato ni por donde, pero si pide para compartir es una buena opción. Y vale la pena regresar.

We were hungry. The bread was warm and tasted great with the olive oil. I had the Chilean beer Austral.
and Gnocchi with Sorrentina sauce. Sauce and thick and flavorful. My daughters, one had Spaghetti with Bolognese sauce and the other had Fettuccine with Shrimp & chicken. Both loved their dish and said one of best pasta dishes they have had.
Service was quick and waitress for friendly and patient to walk us through the menu which was in Spanish.

Por donde empiezo, mmmm primero por los ñoquis, y después les comento…
Bueno este es uno de mis lugares favoritos en la linda cuidad de Viña del Mar… pero los ñoquis están de lujo.
Si, los ñoquis… Es que son muy deliciosos y también esa mantequilla de colores y la panera que colocan… Uffff
Solo tienen que venir a probar estos ñoquis con salsa 3 quesos, y sabrán de los que les hablo.

Excelente como siempre.

Pedimos Sorrentino al filetto, fettuccine a la carbonara, spaghetti tutto mare, Lasagna bolognesa y otros.
Todo muy bueno (probé 3) y porción muy abundante. Pisco sours bien hechos.
Tres años que no venía y sigue igual de bueno… O mejor.

Found in all the tourist guides, Fellini has been there for an eternity, or so it seems.
For starters, the menu is huge, spanning all sorts of areas such as steaks, regional South American dishes, and, as the name would imply, Italian food. This seems to be the case in so many popular, mid-​priced restaurants in the Southern Cone.
Fellini’s location is convenient and easy to get to if in seaside Vina del Mar, being a few blocks from the ocean and also from the casino, which presents a dichotomy — it’s a useful landmark but someplace I couldn’t see myself patronizing.
The time I ate here, I had a salad, a pasta dish with a sauce that seemed somewhat «unique» to the restaurant, and a soft drink. It was reasonably priced, but a tad more than similar restaurants in less visible areas of Vina del Mar. I’m stating this is because I had dinner here later in the day and lunch elsewhere in «Vina» earlier in the day.
If a visitor to Santiago de Chile, do take the bus (actually, a nice comfortable coach for a reasonable price) to Vina del Mar. I feel a trip to Santiago would be incomplete without doing so. Also, note that, since the ocean current (*thinking the Humboldt Current*) comes up from Tierra del Fuego, at the very bottom of South America, the water here is cold and the waves are imposing, much like is the case in Southern California.
However, the tourist books and the locals on the street give Fellini a nod and so do I.

Un lugar muy cómodo, acogedor y rico para disfrutar en grandes grupos. Comprende una oferta de pescados, carnes, pastas y mariscos.
Año atrás, la comida era muy buena, ahora ha perdido un poco el encanto, aunque aún es buena. El servicio excelente, con mozos atentos y bien amorosos.
Para mi cumpleaños, tenía ganas de ir a Viña, donde paseamos por el puerto y celebramos en Fellini. Ahí estábamos después de haber degustado unos platos de pastas cuando llegan los mozos con una torta y en coro me cantaron cumpleaños feliz. Fue muy emocionante, todos los clientes hicieron lo mismo. Me sentí más que celebrada.
Hace algún tiempo están realizando un buen descuento, y si lo visita, le registran sus datos y le envían las próximas promociones que habrá.
En la noche se llena un poco, es recomendable no llegar tan tarde, porque se puede acudir sin reserva.
