Club San Carlos de Apoquindo

Every Sunday (except for holidays) of this past year, has been spent at these futbolito fields. Don’t get me wrong, I am not a La Catolica «hincha» or anything, I just am always here because I participate in «Liga Maestras», a soccer league for women.
Despite it being a trek over here (some might say you are getting into Argentina’s territory…), public transportation makes it fairly easy to get here. You can take the metro until Los Dominicos and take the 421 micro to the entrance. If you come in car, there is a huge parking area.
These fields are really great quality and were just renovated so are now brand new and ready for playing! There are a ton of futbolito fields here where on Sundays, both male and female leagues share the space.
They have also just put in changing rooms and bathrooms for girls in the area — before you would have to sneak into the club house and use the guys section (it is great to see when a big male dominated power like La Catolica club makes changes to have women in mind as well).
Tip:
Be careful on game day. Because this is part of the La Catolica club team, game days where they play in the stadium can be intense. I have had to share micros with the «hinchas» — where they drink and jump while singing their cheers and it can be a little scary. Just to be on the safe side, if you end up in the middle of the hincha mob, I wouldn’t take out your cellphone and keep an eye on your bags.

Puede que el equipo de fútbol de la universidad católica sea el equipo de chile en ser segundo mas veces en la historia, es por eso lo conocen como el eterno segundo pero en algo que son los primeros es sin duda en sus establecimientos deportivos.
Estas canchas son de lo mejor todas de pasto sintético a no mas de 1 centímetro del suelo lo que hace que la pelota ruede libremente y feliz, aquí se celebran todos los fines de semana los mejores partidos por las ligas de fútbol masculino y femenino de la liga 7 y otra ligas.
Si vienes a jugar por acá en invierno te recomiendo venir con calzas bajo los shorts y guatnes ya que el frío puede ser a veces intolerante.
También ten cuidado si visitas el complejo durante los partidos de los cruzados ya que te podrías topar con algún indeseable.
En général un lugar seguro y con las mejores canchas en Santiago.
