What a disappointment. The ribs were tough, the pulled pork dry and hard and the chicken was also dry. The best part was the beans. I will not go back here — the floor was greasy — the service was great for takeout, my server was very helpful but the food was inedible I will NOT be back

Not great. They have a sign over the bar boasting the coldest beer in Winnipeg, and while it was pretty cold(not coldest by far) their draft was totally flat. This being said the server did give us new drinks and took money off the bill, so that was cool. Flat beer could be forgiven if the food was good, but it really wasn’t. We got some kind of meat platter for sharing, which came with more sides than meat, but this might have been good because the macaroni, fries and coleslaw were better than the BBQ chicken(dry), BBQ pork(drier) and the ribs(mostly bones, little to no meat). On the table were a selection of their famous sauces, none of which were spectacular, all of which were forgettable. Looks like they have daily specials, but otherwise pretty pricey for what you get. I will not be back, and I would not recommend this place.

Bad food. We had take out and I got the ribs. Dry, tough and tasteless. Will not got back.

The only positive I can say about this place is the interesting signs on the wall. The food was expensive and not worth writing home about. I had the Angus burger for $ 11.99, which tasted like a dry, frozen patty with no seasoning whatsoever. Without dousing it in hot sauce and ketchup, it was inedible. The fries and gravy were okay but the corn on the cob with garlic butter was barely warm and dry and just weird tasting. My husband had the 3 item Woody’s sampler for $ 23.99 selecting brisket, sloppy woody and BBQ chicken. He also felt it was under seasoned and dry. Drinks were also priced high — $ 2.89 for pop and $ 6.39 for a draft of beer. The staff were not very attentive. They didn’t offer information regarding the sauces either or make recommendations for first time customers, nor did they pay any attention to the water spills on the floor. When the manager dropped a glass, he splashed one customer and didn’t do a great job of getting all of the glass, which shattered and pieces scattered all over, creating quite a safety issue. It was nice, however, seeing a waitress help a customer take a large take-out order to her vehicle. I have no desire to return. I left feeling unsatisfied and ripped off. If I’m in the mood for BBQ, Montana’s is always very tasty and reasonably priced.
