Came here without Unilocal’s help what a find! Staying at a hotel across street for 4 days so I don’t need go anywhere else. Will be exploring the menu in the coming days. Had the fish taco and a cappuccino tonight both were excellent. Service was great coming, will be back for breakfast in the morning.

Not as good as the stellas on Sherbrooke. The hostess seemed clueless and gave me flack over specifics for a pick up order and confused the two bills. I got the club sandwich and it was a let down compared to the one I usually get at stellas on Sherbrooke. I will avoid this location even though I work long hours one block away.

Ambience and service are excellent. Love the food but find the hashbrowns to be a little greasy. Generally packed solid when I want to go.

Fresh tasting lunch. Always try to eat here when I visit Winnipeg. Always the breakfast, maybe I’ll try the burgers next time. The ambiance is relaxing and casual. Although this will be a great business lunch venue. Hey can easily accommodate 20-people settings.

I can’t understand how Stella’s has become some kind of Winnipeg institution with their bland menu that is consistently poorly prepared. I had the curry last time I was there and it was an insult to Indian food. My tongue kept yawning throughout the entire meal it was so bad. This place is super popular and has great service, but between boring curry, veggie burgers swimming in too much sauce and overpriced sandwiches, the food is just god-awful. I’ve sworn off Stella’s and if you’ve never been here, don’t bother.

Very friendly staff and awesome food! This was my first time visiting Winnipeg and the staff was very helpful and had smiles on their faces. The prices are very fair for the quality of food given. I left with a Go Green Smoothie to-go and it was amazing!

Love this place. Baked goods are amazing and the country omelet was very good. Coffee is a bit weak. Smoothies excellent. Service was also spot on.

I cannot say enough about my first visit to Stella’s. Even during a busy afternoon rush(clearly a popular place), the staff was so attentive without being ingratiating from the second I walked through the door. I had an almond milk London Fog(with an impressive foam, for almond milk!) and the Vegan Breakfast, which was so delicious and filling I took home over half. Great selection of Vegan/Vegetarian, and while the only technically GF-prepared items are a flourless chocolate torte and some yummy chocolate cookies at the counter, they have excellent substitutions for dishes that normally come on or with bread. Highly recommend this Winnipeg gem.

Well I’ve only been to Stella’s once, and I am new to Winnipeg, so this is a tentative 4 just because it may be the case that Winnipeg has a very high standard. I just moved from Victoria, and I would say I was very happy with Stella’s for a late breakfast/brunch location. Victoria had a fetish for brunch and Stella’s would hold its own there, so unless Winnipeg is really really awesome for brunch [for some reason] then I think Stella’s deserves the 4 stars I gave it.

Stopped in here for a quick breakfast before the airport and they were more than accommodating and got my food and check to me fast. I got the veggie omelette and it was the best I’ve ever had! Love that it’s farm to table. They are famous for their jam and I can see why, it’s amazing.

Went to Winnipeg over Valentines Day Weekend. While visiting the WAG we ventured through for breakfast. It was so good we came back the next morning. The first morning I had the salmon breakfast. The smoked salmon was fresh and they give you a pretty hefty serving of it as well, it is served alongside capers and its so refreshing! The homefries are seasoned with herbs rather than salt and this was a plus for me! Ventured to try their hot chocolate and mimosas, just like the food the were packed with flavor and not watered down one bit. The next day I went back for the Chorizo hash. It was sooo much to eat but so good! I definitely recommend as well as the Baileys Latte, they dont skimp on the baileys either! Go here and try everything! Go again for lunch too Dont forget to dredge that toast in the Stellas Jam too, as another reviewer said«It is the truth!»

This is a fun, reasonably priced spot with friendly and attentive wait staff. They use fresh ingredients and even go as far as canning their own jam(which is delicious on toast).

Stella’s, let’s be honest: you had me at «breakfast all day.» But for those not-so-enthusiastic about a benedict at 4 pm, never fear! At this warm little café on Portage you can tuck into a number of amazing lunch items, or just grab coffee and a pastry to go. Wait, are there actually people who don’t like brunch?! I digress… I’ve had the Smoked Salmon Benedict and the Norwegian Gravlax Sandwich on different visits, both of which were amazing. The benedict was truly unique; the salmon was served on top of their homemade biscuits and drizzled with a lemon dill sauce, and the Gravlax Sandwich was as authentic as anything I had in Northern Europe. The last time I came in, my friend and I saved room and split a pecan pie bar for dessert: layers of toasted pecans and sweet caramel on a buttery shortbread crust. Dense, delicious, and decadent. Needless to say… I regret nothing. Whatever you do — be it breakfast or lunch, don’t miss out on ordering a little side of their homemade jam! Whether you spread it on a biscuit or scrape it out of the bowl with a spoon, it’s delicious sugary goodness bursting with fruit. They sell it at the front coffee counter, so you’ll never have to be without it again. And trust me, you won’t want to. What more can I say? The service at Stella’s is great, and the place is bright and cheerful. They serve huge, hearty portions and beautifully plated dishes(always a win in my book). Without trying anywhere else, I would wholeheartedly believe Stella’s is(as many say) the best brunch in Winnipeg. I’m going to miss this place!

I was thoroughly impressed by the customer service here. For a college student run restaurant at a university, this place was functioning beautifully. Everyone was friendly and conversational. The presentation of the food was lovely. The menu description didn’t give the food justice. It was cooked well and tasted great. There was a bountiful portion. But, it’s the atmosphere and service that gets my four stars.

Looking for some healthy and wholesome brunch on Unilocal and was led to Stella’s and so happy that it did. I went with the veggie café breakfast. A solid choice if you ask me. First of all, that strawberry jam is the truth. I don’t usually eat my buttered toast, but with that smothered, sweet deliciousness, how could I not eat all the bread? And do I mean all the bread, damn you carbs! The poached eggs were regular and the breakfast potatoes weren’t fried, so that’s good. The breakfast patties? Delightful, fluffy vegetarian patties made of chickpeas, carrots, zucchini, spices and so much more that were oh so good. Clean eating at its finest. Vegan and vegetarian friendly, a wide array of smoothies, great service and enjoying this Winnipeg summer on the bright and cheery patio makes Stella’s a no-brainer. Love.Love.Love. When I return to the ‘Peg, you can bet I’ll be here eating some healthy brunch eats.
