The Spanish Institute assists individuals, businesses, governmental agencies, corporations and universities with Spanish courses, translations, interpretation and consultancy.

It also promotes the Spanish language and culture through cultural events and other initiatives.

Prof. Jesús Á.

Business Owner

Award winning and noted educator, he has been heralded by the Winnipeg Free Press as «internationally recognized as a premier linguistic instructor», «the leading Spanish-​language specialist in Winnipeg» (Heather Stefanson, MLA), «ambassador of the Spanish language in Canada» (Diario de Burgos), having received the «10 most Influential Hispanic Canadians Award».

After graduating with First-​Class Honours, finishing first in his university, he taught for over twenty years at Newcastle University, Sunderland University, Northumbria University, and languages manager at the Open University (UK). He also taught at Canadian universities, and in 2003 he founded The Spanish Institute.
