In 1992, President and founder Dave Guenther used his deep-​seeded passion for sports and travel to create Roadtrips, Inc. An early form of Roadtrips manifested itself in Dave’s junior year at the University of Manitoba, when he started organizing sports and entertainment junkets for friends and classmates. After a stint in financial services, Dave decided to evolve his college idea into a professional venture.

Dave first targeted sports fans, providing them with customized travel experiences to games, matches and sporting events in North America. In an effort to adapt to the changing market, he slowly began to target more premium and upscale travelers, expanding the reach of his business internationally. Dave’s commitment to excellent customer service, outstanding personalized travel experiences and athletics have allowed him to lead a strong team and Roadtrips to flourish.

As always, the Roadtrips experience was an outstanding one. My father and I have been traveling to the NHL All-​Star Game with them since 2004 in Minnesota. The tickets are always amazing, but it goes beyond that. All of their choices in the host city, from the hotel selection to the restaurants, are top notch, while the customer service that hospitality that we get from Roadtrips employees is second to none. We will be doing business with them for years to come, and I highly recommend them for your next vacation!

Roadtrips is awesome. I’ve been to the Stanley Cup Finals three times thanks to them. Each time we had great seats, a really nice hotel and all the service and support we could have asked for.

I wanted to attend the Indy 500 for my 60th birthday, with two best friends, and found the company Roadtrips, Inc. online in hopes they could provide a first class experience. I requested very specifically, that I wanted Stand E with a view all the way down the front straight. When I got to Indy, I checked out my seats on Saturday, and while we were in Stand E, we were so far away from what I requested, we could see none of the front straight! We let the on site hosts know this, and they refused to help us in any way. So, we hit the streets for three hours with the scalpers, and paid $ 1000 for the tickets we originally wanted. When we showed the scalpers what Roadtrips gave us, they laughed and said they would give us $ 10.00 for them! So the three of us paid $ 1300 for the flight, $ 7200 for the Roadtrips package, and another $ 1000 on the street. That’s almost $ 10,000 for terrible, terrible seats! I cannot recommend Roadtrips to anyone. My trip was ruined, and they don’t care!

Roadtrips is a sports travel agency based in Winnipeg. I’ve booked sports vacations with them many times including trips to the National Hockey League All Star Games in Vancouver, Tampa Bay, Toronto, Denver and Los Angeles. In addition I’ve used their services to obtain hard-​to-​find sports tickets in Atlanta, Washington DC and New York.
When I first started using this agency they mostly specialized in hockey tours, but over the years they have expanded to include all major sporting events including the Olympics. Most of the tour packages include at least three hotel options based on your budget and the tickets that are offered are the authentic tickets printed by the sports venue or team and not some generic computer-​generated ticket like what you would get from Ticketmaster or
. There are always additional options that you can add onto your trips.
I really enjoyed the All Star Game packages which all included a reception with Roadtrips staff and an appearance by local sports celebrities followed by autograph sessions and tours of other exciting venues in the host city. A Roadtrips staff member (s) is usually easily accessible in one of the host hotels to answer your questions. A one-​of-​a-​kind gift was often included (in many cases autographed by a local sports legend) in the tour package.
I imagine if I ever decide to attend the Indy 500 or a Super Bowl somewhere, I’ll look to the friendly staff at Roadtrips first.
