Founded in 1975, the Prolific Graphics Group of Companies has evolved over the years into Western Canada’s foremost commercial printer. With nearly 80,000 square feet of space, the Winnipeg head office employs some 100 people and leads the industry in state-​of-​the-​art equipment and technology in all areas of its business.

History

Established in 1975.

From its initial site, in 1975, composed of 200 square feet to its current location in Winnipeg, Manitoba with 71,000 square feet of plant and office space, Prolific finally had the location large enough to fit its ambitions.

In 1991, the firm acquired Parkland ColorPress Ltd. of Lacombe, Alberta, a commercial printer that specializes in magazines. In May 1998 the company moved to its current 18,000 sqare foot location in Red Deer from its original home in Lacombe.

Prolific’s Alberta base broadened in 1999 when it acquired the Calgary company, Petro-​Tech Printing Ltd.
