John is the owner, he’s been around forever and I have never met anyone in retail so diametrically opposed to happy customers. He doesn’t want people to walk away feeling like they got good value, because if they do, he’ll feel insulted. This I learned from a direct conversation with John. This guy is so far beyond being a mere grumpy bitter old man, He hates people with a passion. The basement that he now operates out of is dingy, messy and full of garbage. He’s supposedly retiring and has had a «going out of business» sale for something like half a year but the only things he’s discounting is stuff that should have gone into the trash 5 years ago. You’re going out of business, the goal is to liquidate your stuff. The time of marking stuff up is over. If you can get so much from so and so online retailer or eBay for your stuff then do so and get on with your retirement. If you don’t want to sell your stuff then stop pretending that you’re retiring and run your store like a real business.

I was recently at an event where the owner was their selling his stuff. Yes he has been around a long time, and I think is a little to grumpy, but he has the products. I do not think I am going to him part location is not convenient, and the other part is personality. But after a talk with him, and comments from some other people, I can not recommend him, but I give him one more star for his efforts at events.
