I love Chinese bakeries and happy this city has one in Chinatown. There were about 4 cases with 3 shelves of different buns and treats. The employees pick out the items for you as oppose to you placing them on a tray with tongs. They had different items I’ve never had before such as chicken and onion bun, apricot roll and raspberry roll. Everything tasted fresh and the buns were soft. The prices were decent with one bun measuring the size of my hand averaging less than a dollar. «Cash only» at this place and like the rest of the country, you do have to add tax to the final total! Parking can be difficult because street parking is only available.

This bakery specializes in Chinese pastries and cakes. Now, considering that Winnipeg has very limited Chinese bake shops to choose from, I end up stopping by here. It’s annoying that here’s never a lot of items to choose from which is a huge disappointment. I don’t need large quantities of each item available but a broader selection would be nice. My usual pics are the pineapple buns and the egg tarts — they aren’t great but they will do.
