We didn’t make reservations. We just showed up at M.S. River Rouge Cruise line for a trip up the Red River and the Assiniboine Rivers. We arrived at the docks on Waterfront and Alexander and were promptly greeted by the tour guide. He had been negotiating with a group of 14 senior citizens about doing the cruise on another day, until our arrival. With a total of 16 now, the cruise was good to go. It was $ 18.99CAD for each ticket which I thought was a good deal. The tour guide was great, the cruise was easy going and pleasant and very informative and scenic. There was food if one wanted to eat and plenty to drink, alcoholic and non-alcoholic. This was a nice 2-hour cruise, very relaxing and I recommend taking this tour if one is going to be in Winnipeg for more than a day. The Forks which is right there in the area, is a wonderful place to walk around and shop and take in the sites of the Legislative Capital of the Province of Manitoba. Canadians are friendly and easy going and I always enjoy visiting Canada’s clean, organized cities.
