The Jolly Friar is located inside the Norwood Hotel. It’s a pretty dark restaurant that doesn’t offer up much in terms of atmosphere. I was here as part of a group celebration so we all opted for the $ 11.95 lunch buffet. The buffet changes daily. There’s a salad bar and a hot food service area. The day I was there, it was a tex-mex theme plus some random other items. There were tater tots, pre-assembled chicken quesadilla(made with breaded chicken fingers inside — weird), make your own taco station, soggy attempt at Mexican rice, chicken wings, and turkey. Yeah, quite the weird assortment of food. The salad station looked a little sketchy so I only had a little bit of mixed green salad. But in terms of «quality» the rest of the food was was on par with what you would get at a cafeteria. I only went once for the buffet as there was nothing there that would make me go back for seconds. For $ 11.95, the buffet is fine at that price point if you like quantity over quality. Otherwise, I will not be making a return to this place or if I had to, I would probably order a la carte off the menu and skip the lunch buffet.
