Johnny’s is my go to neighborhood breakfast spot. They also serve salads, burgers, sandwiches, pizza, dinners and daily specials. Quality is consistently spot on and fresh. Portions are generous and will not leave hungry. Give them a try and you will not be disappointed.

Johnny’s is a local restaurant in the Maples that seems to have been around forever and the décor reflects that but it’s not a place you go to for that. They have daily specials that do actually change daily and good home cooked fresh food for reasonable prices. Well most of the time. Last time we went my husband had spaghetti with meat sauce and instead of getting meat sauce they used the chilli for the burgers. He said it was gross and greasy and even the garlic bread was heavy and inedible. It took a while of the waitress to come back and check on us but when she did she took it away and he ordered one or their giant cinnamon buns. Now that is delicious! They also didn’t charge him for either meal as an apology for the crappy spaghetti. I love their deluxe clubhouse platter and I almost always get that. We tend to go there a lot with my in-laws because my father-in-law is a picker eater then I am and he likes several things on the menu. The last time we went was my first time in the bathroom and I was unimpressed. I had to change the baby and there was no changing table. At least there was a counter top around the sink but she kept trying to play with the faucet and there was a lot of black yuck around the bottom where the faucet meets the sink and so I was trying to keep her from touching it. The grout around the tiles looks like it has never been cleaned throughout the entire bathroom. It is one thing to keep the restaurant retro and focus on the food but that bathroom makes me itchy and needs a reno!
