I totally agree. These units are unhealthy and unsafe. Full of black mold and other allergens. They have ignored City ordinances about bringing the electrical up to code. The building manager and the owner knew about repairs that needed to be done in units for years and did nothing. Renovations were done but only to the hallways and the front lobby. Good choice. Lets make up bullshit reasons to raise the rent but not do any renovations to the units. They didn’t
any repairs to the units. No wonder people are leaving in droves. This building didn’t even have hot water for 1 month. People are sick and were unreasonabley inconvenienced for 6 months during the renovations because the front lobby was blocked off. They even retiled the elevators. Who the hell does that???
Another reason the landlord gave for raising the rent was for landscaping. Im from BC and I know from landscaping. THERE IS NO LANDSCAPING BECAUSE THERE ISNT ANY LAND TO LANSCAPE. The building is a fire hazard and if there was a ffire people would die because there is no door that opens in the underground garage. This is note worthy because during a fire the power is automatically shut off.
So there must be a door that can open in every part of the building. It should never have passed the fire safety inspection. Obviously the owner knows people at city hall and has greased hands to turn a blind eye to the health and safety violations. Whats it gonna take does someone have to die before the owner smartens up?

Worst company in the world, pls don’t rent with these people, they are all crooks just trying to steal your money, they raise rent every year and fix nothing, their representative are all rude and untrained. pls stay away from them, they will hassle at least once a month about something, impossible to get a hold of managers, no matter how long you stay loyal to them it means nothing. they will not do an ounce of work for you, pls stay away from this place. pls pls pls they are crooks. this company needs to fail so we can make room for better companies who actually care about people. globe general will only kick you when your down .it doesn’t surprise me globe hadn’t gotten one good review from anyone if seen. lets ruin this company together and not give them anymore if our money, if I were you I’d make an effort to move as soon as possible if your forced to live in their shitholes.
