A Taste of Laos

My family has been here a couple times and were pleased with the dishes we ordered. The papaya salad was good, but comes with peanuts unless you tell them otherwise. The kids enjoy the chicken skewers, chicken noodle soup (kaopiak) and sticky rice every time.
The beef laap is good, but seems different to me as the preparation may be rushed as it is made-​to-​order or I’m not accustomed to that style. Basil chicken came out like a stir fry while I prefer it minced to thoroughly soak up the juices.
Overall, you will get the taste of Lao, but the style may not be to your preference, as in my case. Very happy to see a Lao restaurant that is not masked behind a Thai façade to cater to a broader demographic.

We eat here a few times a year. The price is right. The food is always good. Your typical family run place.
