Stathis Grill

This was our first visit and we enjoyed it very much. The service was exceptional. Never felt rushed and the food came at a nice pace. great atmosphere and the food was hot and tasty although a little under seasoned for my wife and I (reason not 5 stars).I had the Greek salad dressing was delicious and the house gyro tzatzki was delicious and the pita was full (meat could use a little more love).My wife had the chicken rice soup and gyro poutine.
Definitely will go back and the prices were very reasonable.

We drove up and were a bit concerned that it was a little too much of a hole in the wall even for us, but the parking lot was packed.
We went inside and the place is really nice and up to date décor-​wise (no naked statue murals or huge displays of worry beads like Greek truckers or anything). It was very tasteful and clean. We could see who we thought was the owner Stathi in the kitchen watching over everything. There was a good size birthday party going on but we were seated quickly.
I get the feeling Stathi is native Greek which is almost always a good sign!
The menu is very reasonable and has a very good variety of home cooked Greek food. We had spinach pie and the Gyros/​souvlaki combo. The side Greek salads were Very Very yummy and had a variety of items including beets! You never see that on a side salad. Dressing seemed home made (more mild vinegar accent and less like trendy over spiced bottled dressing). I have been eating Greek food for 42 years since I was a waitress as a teenager so I have had my share of Greek food including 9 or 10 trips to Greece!
I loved the roasted potatoes and the tzatsiki too. Very yummy dinner. I was pleased to see homemade yogurt and some homemade pastries too. I just could not fit in all the things I wanted to try!
This guy makes his own gyros. Have never seen this before or just did not realize it elsewhere. That is admirable for a small business indeed. He is open 6 days with later hours so it looks like the owner watches his own business very closely.
The wait staff were congenial and experienced. Many patrons seemed like regulars. All good signs.
Very reasonable good food that had a few unusual items home made. My definition of a great experience.
Will happily return on my next trip to Windsor.

With that father-​son duo in the Kitchen, you will never be disappointed at the Stathis Grill.

Really nice, family run restaurant. Freshly made food, good portion sizes, very reasonable prices. The gyro is made onsite and not the frozen stuff — a must try along with the Stathis feta fries! Yum!

Great Greek food run by a very well organized and FRIENDLY staff.
Portions were generous without being overwhelming.
An added «plus» — all the food is handmade and/​or locally sourced. A big deal for me.
This is definitely on my «go-​to» list of restaurants now!
